I, Jaded-Raven, pledge to remain peaceful, cooperative, and on good terms with my fellow users of MKO, and in doing so, help to keep MKO alive and well.

I hope I can live up to this. ^^

I am not making some dumb pledge which is basically what the rules of the site are/should be. If they choose to enforce the rules that's fine, if not... it seems anything is fair game. This is pathetic.. It basically says... "Hey... I know you may be an asshole. But I'm not going to tell you you're an asshole and just let you keep being one because hopefully you will realize it on your own and change yourself."

It appears this guy has proved a valid point. No one rewards an attempt to do something good or trying to improve on this site. I would take my pledge back then.

You don't have to pledge if you don't want to, but you could've left the void of negative comments.

I just want us all to be cool, is that too much to ask?

mko needs drama, it needs fights, it needs differences and difference of opions leading to pages of going at eachother

sometimes its good to have these kind of wars and long arguments

as long as its not all the time and the users have a sense of control to know the limits and whats in the realm or arguing and making a point and just flat out being insulting and attacking someone

this lets agree to be peaceful means nothing because as soon as someone gets a little offended or feels like their being insulted this little commitment goes out the window

it wont due anything at all, its just talk, its just in the moment, in a moment where there's no fire

but when the fire comes, the different mind state comes, the mindstate that doesn't give a damn about anything accept getting back at someone and guarding their beliefs and opinions

lets just not be arrogant assholes, lets just know were gonna have different opinions

lets understand that there gonna conflict and were not gonna like what others say

Lets understand theres topics and times where arguing is okay

and times and certain subjects where it should be avoided

How about we think about the reason were here on this site
And lets think about our human nature

Know the line, know the limits
dont push them

I'm gonna be realistic and accept not everyone here is gonna be in total peace, but I know thats the way things are,

Sorry Riy, but yeah, I think it is too much to ask for. I think maybe it should be up to each individual if they would make this a better place to be or not.

It was a good intention and I applaud you for wanting this.

If this isn't sarcasm then yea... you barely get rewarded for helping people out on this site. Barely a thank you and no DP's. I only mention DP's as a form of reward because that is the only other way you can be rewarded on here pretty much other than a thank you unless someone goes out of their way to offer you something else... but we all know that never happens.



I could have left the negativity out, you're right. But the fact is that this isn't going to change people just as the rules of the site clearly haven't. It's not an issue of "pledging" it seems. It is more of an issue of the rules not being enforced.
