People please remember that this film is a restart. The car is most likely going to get smoother and fancier overtime. Yes that is the official car.
Garlador Wrote: Screw realism. Since when does a man who fights crime dressed as a furry, flying mammal against an insane clown, penguin, cat-girl, green-clad riddle-meister, a human popcicle, a plant woman, and does so with another spandex clad young man come across as real? Well, I don't care if it's real or not. I just don't want it to be campy. Fatality. |
*sighs* like i said before, the director is trying to make this movie realistic.u want the movie to be cool at the expense of it NOT being cheesey seems like.this is going to be the beginning of another batman series.this movie is about batman's origin so it would be stupid to have him drive a billion dollar car with 31st century technology from the front to the rear.also, that might not even be the batmobile but something called the tumbler.
i'm not a huge batman fan but if u want some info on it from real fans then go to superherohype.com

I know they're trying to come up with a newer simpler design for the batmobile sence its a prequal and all.
But they really could of came up with a better deisgn than that crap. The big wheels are stupid.

Umm correct me if I'm wrong here but wasn't Bruce Wayne born into money? I know he made his big bucks on his own with his company, but I'm sure he was rich all of his life. So IF that is the Batmobile, why does it look like a redneck's dream machine? Why not just mod a sports car like a Dodge Viper? I mean if he's going to be driving around in Gothem City (which is basically New York) why the mud tires? Don't get me wrong, it's not a bad design, but it just doesn't fit Batman. And one last thing you can't argue it's "sense of realism" if the fucking thing has a damn rocket in the back.
I like the new batmobile design... if u notice though its made like a formula 1 car which means it would blow all the previous batmobiles off the road and this batmobile might have something to do with Ra's Al Ghul since in the comics he stayed in places like deserts where it is hard to get to, thus thats y i think the batmobile is all terian looking...

This vehcile is cheesy. It's also big, ugly, and tacky. Very unlike Batman. Batman's always had taste...
But what's so much more realistic about this Batmobile over any of the old Batmobiles, and why is realism important anyway? This is Batman. He's a rich guy who fights crime dressed up as a bat, who fights off criminals dressed as cats, clowns, and penguins.

Ra's Al Ghul is confirmed to be the main villain in this new Batman movie, so I think you're onto something with the deserts and Batman needing an all terrain vehicle.

realism:no big,bulky rubber suit.
no farfetched plots and villains
what i mean by realism is everything will not seem like a saturday morning cartoon.there will be a much more flexible suit unlike the 150 pound rubber one which would make it virtually impossible to defeat a gang of thugs.there won't be any overeggagerated plots and enemies.
also,if u would actually read everything i wrote in my second post then u would see that i mentioned that this vehicle might not be the batmobile but the TUMBLER.
i kinda like the vehicle.let it be tacky then.this is bruce's early years when he first became batman.

If anyone read my first post I mentioned I didn't think this was the Batmobile in the first place. It's one of his other million dollar toys.

It would be cool if you add a few machine guns, rocket launchers, and a Twisted Metal game, but other than that, I think it would fail in significance to what it could be.... plus... it looks like something the Government is going to use to track down Thought Criminals when we go 100% 1984.... quite soon.
