The Phenomenal Woman Maya Angelou Dies at 86

My day has been ruined.

Iconic poet, author and civil rights activist Maya Angelou passed away this morning, due to preexisting heart problems.

I've always viewed Angelou as the Earth's voice of reason, speaking wisdom with every word she uttered. Her passing is pain in my heart, and she will be sorely missed.
