Is anyone up for an idea where if people keeping tally wish to change their vote they have to remove their vote from the latest tally and make a new post under the current votes? I don't know... I just feel it is a bit ridiculous that not only in this current situation where Mismagius was at (6,6) with the current round tallies before Tgrant changed his post, that any pokemon could be in that situation and then the person who started the latest round could just change their vote and nullify all of the boot votes beyond it because their vote counts first for the round.
I doubt a ton of people check the thread as much as me to catch it and edit my boot for the sake of the round but I just feel it is a tad bit on the "abusing position" side of things even if this is just for fun.
It could even apply to everyone where you would edit your post and put "Vote Edited" and then have to post after unless you are the current latest post but that's just my two cents on the matter.
It just makes me see there almost being no point to voting on anything in the (6,4) area because it could get to (6,6) or even (6,7) in that current round and then the person who started the round could change their vote and nullify 3 boot votes that were posted prior to them editing their post.
Thoughts?

I dont really care either way but it not just talliers who can change the outcome. Those posting second or third in a round, or in fact anyone other than the last voter, can also nullify a (6,6) or (6, 7). So if you do an edit rule it has to be for everyone.

Right, it would apply to everyone.

In regards to the editing rule, I'm 50-50 about it. Anyone can change the outcome as previously said. Others could have influenced the outcome last round, not just myself. The onus is on each person playing to keep up with the game and play accordingly - vote or edit. How often or little you do this is down to you. As such and as always has been the case, how you do this can be influenced by how others do those very same things.
I feel to change the rule will ruin one of the core aspects of the strategic side of the game. It also puts persons in a 50-50 scenario as to whether to risk the potential loss or saving of a character, or even the booting of a character with the possibility of not being able to do anything about it later because it would have been too late depending on other votes. This could also lead to another character being threatened or even something you don't like being saved. There are scenarios to consider in this aspect and more than just those at (6,6), (6,5) to consider.
If it is to be changed then it should apply to all, though I'm completely sold on it.

Here's my full stance on the voting issue: being a tallier should not give you any more privilege than anyone else. I'm not saying I've never taken advantage of having the first vote in a round before, but in a sense your vote does count more than someone else who votes later in a round and on a basic level, it's unfair. You do make a good point, tgrant, that the onus should be on the players to check back and edit votes accordingly, but keep in mind that this is not a priority for everyone playing. Therefore, I personally feel that the most fair solution is to institute an edit and repost rule applicable to everyone. However, I don't want to be the only voice in this and would like to put it to a vote, if that's satisfactory for everyone. We're all playing, so we should all try to be in agreement on what to do with this situation.

It has always been my thought that the current tallier shouldn't be allowed to vote when posting the new round.
It seems a bit odd that right after the tally is posted, the person votes, not to mention it does make the game one-sided at times. Personally, I think the outcomes of many groups were dictated by the talliers' ability to vote immediately after tallying.
Since the championship round is underway, it seems a bit late to incorporate new rules, but should the game return, I request talliers be forbidden to vote immediately after tallying. To be honest, I'd rather they not vote at all.

... but then nobody would bother with the tally.
