April 1st, 2012. Adult Swim aired what had to have been the most goosebump inducing April Fools joke of all time. They brought back Cartoon Networks best (inho) block of all time, Toonami. What is Toonami? Well if you don't know what Toonami is you obviously had no childhood, but, anyways, it was a block on Cartoon Network that aired it's anime/action shows such as Dragonball Z, Yu Yu Hakusho, ReBoot, Sailor Moon, Outlaw Star, and many many more.

After the awesomeness went off the air, the following day Adult Swim tweeted the following, "Want it back? Let us know. #BringBackToonami." I just couldn't believe it. I did the exact thing they asked us to do, and now, April 4th rolls along and AS tweeted this, "#BringBackToonami We've heard you. Thank you for your passion and interest - stay tuned."

I think we did it. Toonami may be back in action and I couldn't be happier! I want to ask you guys, if it comes back (I have no doubts it will), how do you want it presented? Just like the AF joke from a couple nights back? What shows should they include? When should they air?

I'm so damn excited for this I'm literally grinning and kinda shaking (I'm not crazy I swear).

They better god damn keep the shows they've been playing all this time. Outlaw Star, Blue Submarine No. 6, DBZ, Tenchi Muyo, all of my favorite shows better be on when they reboot this masterpiece.

I used to watch it when i accidentally woke up early for shcool. Yay! Now I can watch something other than Family Matters (I like Family Matters, but it's gotten stale)!

If they decide to bring back Toonami, they better show the little episodes of Toonami like Lockdown, The Intruder, Lost in Cyberspace. Love em.

That's what I really liked about Toonami. TOM was the best. Well, that and Rurouni Kenshin.

I didnt really watch a whole lot of anime when I was a kid. But sure wouldnt mind watching some DBZ and Yu Yu Hakusho. Those are pretty much as far as I went into shows like that.

Still can't believe that I fell asleep just before this happens. Shows me why I shouldn't go out partying the night before :( :( :(sadsadsad


I wish Toonami comes back as my childhood was raised on that. I still remember G Gundam, Yu Yu Hakusho, and DBZ
I enjoyed Toonami last night.

It got me interested a tiny bit into watching the new episode of Bleach tonight due to the "On the next episode of Bleach" bump And I dont even like Bleach anymore.

A fair review for Mass effect 3, The first episode of Big O, Watching DragonBall Z on Toonami for nostalgias' sake (Shame it wasn't anything from the Frieza saga) Watching Blue Submarine No.6 for the first time and the saddest episode of Trigun made it a good Saturday night for me.


My only complaint was that the "Dreams" Promo was the only one playing and nothing else. Don't get me wrong I love that promo and it was a complete nostalgia trip to see it on TV again but it was playing maybe 4 or 5 times that night.
