I can see why you'd say that, but re-read the title. "The Top 10 Characters of Fighting Games" not "Top 10 Fighting Game Characters". It's a simple distinction but there is a big difference. This list isn't exclusively for fighting game characters. It's for any character that was in a fighting game.

But in the end who you pick for your list is your decision.

To me, it kinda adds to the significance of Super Smash Bros., that none of the characters in it started out as fighting game characters.

However, Captain Falcon seems to have made the greatest transition out of all of them, even despite that he is the only character to have absolutely no combative background prior to his inclusion. I could literally see him in any other fighting game series, and he'd fit in so well. That's why I added him to my list.

I do look forward to your list, however. I think it could prove quite well.

I'm not going to explain any of this top 10 just to have the "merit" questioned due to there being no set criteria that I should be scoring the characters in my list on to make sure they belong there.

They're all very good characters, in one regard or another.

There were some characters I was iffy on putting in there because they were pretty popular. But I'm definitely happy with the end result.

Nope that was completely genuine. You had characters from games that weren't mentioned that were some real gems.

After re-reading it though, I can see why you would think it was sarcastic.

TNR interesting list. Cervantes is an interesting pick. I screw myself over whenever I play as him cause I do that charge move that knocks myself out the ring.

Also Kung Lao it's nice to see a list with my fav character of all time. Lord Raptor. My uncle uses Xiaoyu for his main in Tekken. Funny that you pick Vertigo cause he's my main in Primal Rage.

I have question for TNR and you Kung Lao how is Power Stone series you guys have characters on the list from that series so It must be damn good. Cause I might have to get them for my PSP if its that good. Also TNR do you know why Cable does that animation in MVC series. I just always wondered why he did that. Thought you might know.

These are pure my personal favourite for varying reasons, gameplay, nostalgia, whatever. Am not really here to debate them more just to give my views on why I think they're awesome.

Nightwolf, Felicia, Killik, Jun Kazama, Sophitia Alexandra, Juli, Q Bee, Shang Tsung, Sasquatch and Blanka.

10. T Hawk (Street Fighter)
I like the native american type character genre (props to Nightwolf) and just remember thinkin how big and foreboding he looked on the screen when he first appeared. His moves looked good IMO and looks awesome in SF4s graphics. He and his game-mate appearing later are my go to SF characters.

9. Anna Williams (Tekken)
How many girls do u know can kick ass in those heels and a dress like Anna can? And with such style darling.

8. Rogue (Marvel vs Capcom/ XMen vs Street Fighter)
Always one of my favourite comic book characters, I was so psyched when she made it to the games. Lover her in XMvSF how they used her powers and also in MvC2 she kicked major ass. I just generally love her as a character so had to include her here. G'nigth, suga!

7. Sindel (Mortal Kombat)
My queen. I humbly bow at your feet. I just love Sindel for her look, her concept of undead-gothic-banshee, her moves.......and turns out she's the freakin mother of another on my list. I just think she's so much fun. Her character could be developed and be deeper- more than Edenias-Queen/Kitanas-mom tho, which she's become over the years. I still love her in MK9 I love her fighting style and moves so much.

6. Sub Zero (Mortal Kombat)
An iconic character. Full stop. Great concept. Good fun moves. Always a decent fighter in his games and a such an awesome deep storyline.

5. Hsien Ko (Darkstalkers)
She always intrigued me. I think most darkstalkers characters are really interesting concepts. Her moves and look are fairly unique and she just stands out for me, more so than others in her franchise who get chosen over in most lists/games (looks at morrigan and Felicia).

4. Chun-Li (Street Fighter)
Those legs. Oooft. One of my favourite ladies of all time and always my first choice for SF. The spinning bird kick is easily one of the most iconic moves in gaming. She has a decent storyline and personality because of it.

3. Michelle Chang (Tekken)
Another nostalgic picl for me. My go to tekken character in the early tekken days. A kickass wrestling chick, and again the native american/tribe vibe thing going on even if its mostly in look.

2. Sareena (Mortal Kombat)
For a "side" character, Sareena has one of the most fleshed out storylines in all of MK. So many ties to mainstream characters. I love her design (OK it needs work) and the beauty-masking-the-demon type makes her so interesting. Can't you trust her or not? Is she good or evil? It all adds intrigue. I just wish they would run with Sareena in the mainstream games. She has so much potential that's just asking to be explored.

1. Kitana (Mortal Kombat)
What can I say. Simply put, for me the best video game character there is. The first MK character I ever used and boy, did I fall in love. Her trademark blue leotard. Her fans. Her mask. Her deadly kiss. Her awesome moves. Her story.Loved it all. And then as the games progressed her character improved and got better game by game as her story developed. How to describe the character of Kitana... A good hearted woman who fights for what she believes in. Her realm. Her friends. Her duty. Such a deep character...a princess, a ninja assassin, a hero, an ambassador, a leader, a warrior of light, a bad girl turned good, a 'traitor', a tragic soul. Not many characters fit all those roles in one. And those iconic weapons and moves. All add up to make Kitana the awesomeness that she is.

Power Stone is a brawler where up to 4 people can beat each other up. It is a game where randomly generated objects from Lead pipes to Flamethrowers spawn on the map and all players scramble to get all 3 parts of the Power Stone, which also spawn randomly on the map. Once you have all 3 parts your character transforms and does crazy damage.

The character themselves are interesting and play differently from each other. They offer different playstyles and each have their own unique transformation.

To answer your question, yes I believe Power Stone is a good series. If you're looking for a hardcore fighting game it might not be for you. But if you're looking for a good time with chaos then I'd say go for it.

Props to another WeaponLord character. Such an awesome game that deserved a sequel. It was like having a fighting game set in the world of Conan.
