i always seem to get my ass kicked but also seem to get back up off my feet and retaliate. also, i kinda did fake my death once, just like he did in MK:DA, or atleast he was "rumored" to be dead. who am i?

Those who guessed Meat are correct !

Remember the MK4 Meat code ? Upon selecting any character, he/she'd look like Meat but have the said character's Special Moves.

Another:

I was initially a graphics error. Later, I became a character.

Either Shang Tsung or Quan Chi. I would've initially said Scorpion, but he NEVER gets his ass kicked...okay, he got his ass kicked ONCE, but only because he got double-teamed by those Oni jabronis.
