Yes, Toonami has finally return with Steve Blum as Tom and all its greatness. But it seems Toonami has kinda left its awesome and nostalgic shows in the dust and replaced them with some shows from Adult Swim.

This is the current showtimes

12:00 - Bleach
12:30 - Deadman Wonderland (I'm all for this show)
1:00 - Casshern Sins
1:30 - Fullmetal Alchemist: Brotherhood
2:00 - Ghost in the Shell: SAC 2nd Gig
2:30 - Cowboy Bebop

Now as you can see, its a decent line up of shows (Meh), I would change a few things personally (I posted what I would change in the Drive By). I want to hear your opinions on the current line of shows they have on Toonami. Would you change anything or would you keep it as it is? Do you think they will have little Toonami series such as The Intruder, Lost in Cyberspace, Lockdown or what?

LET ME HEAR IT MY FELLOW TOONAMI FANS.

I already own cowboy beebop, only real good series on that list imo.

The only show I watched ever on a daily basis on Toonami was Cowboy beebop, and even rarely did I watch that after awhile.. It's a meh for me.

I'm glad they brought it back though.

I dont watch t.v anymore. I get all my stuff online these days. But this sounds just like Adult Swim. Makes me wonder what they're showing on Adult Swim now....I'm guessing it's still all those horrible cartoon-comedies.

I'm happy its back and everything, but now after watching it, I just don't feel satisfied. Its all lame anime besides DW, CB, and GitS. Leave GitS, FMA, and CB for Adult Swim and throw in some damn Gundam and Dragonball Z. Thats what we want.

Don't forget Rurouni Kenshin. Or was I the only guy who watched that?

On another note, I'm very happy Toonami is back. Also very glad to hear Steve Blum is back. But yeah, the lineup kind of blows. Only show I do watch is Cowboy Bebop. Still, it is nice to have it back. I just hope they bring stuff like "The Intruder" back.
I'd replace Bleach with something that's not Bleach.

And replace Bebop with Trigun.

I like CB but I'm just so burnt out on it and FLCL. Other than that the lineup was alright.

i'm glad bleach stays. it's my fav anime. iv'e seen alot of anime to.
glad toonami is back. really like the show Deadman Wonderland even though i have no idea what's going on. Casshern Sins
i can watch on netflix so i could care less about that but may check it out on netflix.

i would get rid of full metal and replace it with tenchi.
i would get rid of cowboy bebop and replace it with high school of the dead.
i'd replace ghost in the shell with nana or death note.

I'm glad that the classic version of Tom is back, and he's still badass and reviewing games and shit. But the new shows were boring as hell and made no damn sense at all. They didn't have DBZ or Gundam either and that disappointed me. So Toonami being back is cool and all but they must remember that it's the shows that count. Bring back the good ol shit that we used to watch!

I think its a cool throwback that they do this. But its just adult swim anime saturdays being called toonami.
Original Toonami was during the day wasnt it?

Last time I checked, this thread is called "Toonami 2012" not "Toonami 2012: Fanboy opinions only" so my opinion is just as valid as your opinion.

Yeah but the old Toonami fans are past the Cartoon Network age, so putting Toonami on Adult Swim now is more fitting.

There are so many more animes they could have put on toonami. I didn't see one Promo in there. Those were badass. I have no idea what happened to the female AI Tom had, I forgot her name. It's like the basic Toonami is here, but without all it's greatness and originality.

I loved it. I even watched shows I generally don't on it, like casshern sins. Deadman Wonderland looks like it will be amazing.
I literally got chills when Tom said, "Toonami is back bitches".

I would add some DBZ in there somewhere though, maybe Soul Eater too (I love that anime), and the Tenchi's, Sailor Moon, ect.

Not gonna lie, Casshern Sins reminded me of Mega Man, the main character had a little V shape on his head like Zero, and the plot feels like "Dr. Wily died and his creations want revenge" to an extent (yes, I know that isn't quite what happened, but the parallels still exist)

Deadman Wonderland was also really cool, and I love how the tone changed in that first scene.

Not a fan of Bleach (...and I liked THAT show better when it was called DragonBall Z!!! -Vegeta)

Of course it's in a newfound infancy, so I'll give it time to grow again before I get too critical, but I enjoyed the "I Am Alive" review

In my opinion, none of the shows on Cartoon Network were ever good, with the exception of E,E&E and CKND. The only decent things on Adult Swim are Metalocalypse and anything with Steve Brule. The rest of T&E's Awesome Show is horrible but Steve Brule is always worth a laugh.

I'm guessing you weren't here to witness CN's golden years.. aka the golden 90s cartoons.

I didnt watch it last night. I should have though because it needs support so it can get more funding. Then it will have the more badass shows, or at least the ones I used to watch. DBZ, Yu Yu Hakisho, Gundam... aww the good old days.

Ok, I'll give you that..

But that does not take anything away from CN's awesome line-up during that time :)
