Toys R Us may stop selling toys?, Babies are the future!

Toys R Us, a toy retailer slammed by intense competition from discounters such as Wal-Mart, may sell its toy business and focus on its fast-growing Babies R Us unit, the company said on Wednesday.

Toys R Us plans to take about $150 million in markdowns in the second quarter, primarily to liquidate selected U.S. toy store inventory. It said it would not make a decision to close any of its stores between now and the conclusion of the 2004 holiday season.

Damn, this sucks. Thats one peice of my childhood ripped away. I used to love going to TRU alot, mainly for their Video Games. Althought I don't go there as much nowandays, I bought alot of my games from Toys R US. and I would always play the displayed videogames there. "sigh"

childrens palace and lionel playworld were the shit. I dont see how TRU would sell off all there stores. There are a lot of thing that you cant get but at TRU. Owell

NOOOOOOOO!!!!! TRU is also one of those great memories of me Childhood...I remeber going there Buying Video Games and sometimes buying my toys...I remember I always got chills through my spine when I was a Child and I went there

I also Bought most of my Toy Wrestlers from Toys R Us, They Always had the latest...I dont want yall to see me cry so I will end this..

Farewell Toys R Us!!!! You have treated me good...

video games are the same price everywhere(well at least in my area) all video games are overpriced

Yeah! i stopped buying video games from toys r us,when n64 games we 65 bucks there and 50 bucks everywhere else. GBA games are 35 there when they are 30 everywhere else. And all the 20 dollar games are 35 bucks at TRU.

The PS games in my ARea Were CHEAP.....10 bucks for a JUST released MK: Trilogy! And N64...I think they were around 20 Bucks....
