oh, so your point is "If enough people agree on it, its only rational to agree with it." Right, I thought you meant that we might actually reach a point where aliens visiting the planet is something most of the world agrees on.

Well, close. If enough people claim they saw a dinosaur in San Francisco, you actually don't have to concede the existence of dinosaurs; you just have to concede they SAW a dinosaur. Whether there's actually a dinosaur or not is still open issue.

And then i'd come in on my common sense mobile and say there prooooobably wasn't a dinosaur, or a bigfoot, or aliens. I understand what you're saying here (at least i think i do), that we should believe that these people believe they saw a dinosaur/ alien UFO, and not assume them all to be knowingly part of a hoax. But at the same I feel like regardless of numbers or sincerity we can still maintain disbelief over these kinds of events because of their general lack of evidence and probability. In fact I think its important that society remain extremely skeptical to such claims as they tend to lead to hysteria.

Now, if you excuse me i'm going to hit some ramps and get some sweet air in my common sense mobile.

They are not only more advanced than us technologically, but spiritually as well, simply because their civilizations have been around for thousands and thousands of years.

Not saying I believe in extraterrestrial visitors, but it's equally possible that these aliens are actually a very young society that was given technology by an older society.

And even if it is an old society, what if they're all Nietzschians, a race that doesn't believe in good or evil, but only power. Perhaps the only reason they've lived so long is because they have a scary tight social contract. They haven't done away with evil institutions like oppression and slavery, they just perfected them (slavery may have lasted eons in Ancient Egypt if the Pharaoh had a death ray). If this is the case, the only thing they'd want is resources or entertainment.

Judging by their technology, I think they've got all the resources they need. I've never read of a UFO sucking oil or minerals out of the earth. Also, if they can travel throughout the universe, they can take natural resources from anywhere they want, they don't have to steal from an inhabited planet.

I think they have proven by their lack of invasion throughout the centuries that they are peaceful. However, just like we do, they have some evil and demented members of their society. Hence alien abduction and the rather bizarre things people report these beings do to them.

I guess what I'm getting at is this: if aliens land and I see even ONE tentacle, I am going to run like a motherfucker.

The only animal species intelligent enough to create technology are humans. Unless you believe there are genius octopuses out there, I think you can rest assured that these visitors are people like us, except they are different races, not white, black, or asian like here on earth.

Again, I have no proof. These are just my beliefs based on New Age.

If you saw the tapes then you saw what they saw. So know you're disbelieving your own eyes?

Exactly why aliens don't land on the White House lawn or show their faces on live TV. You think they don't know how we small-minded earthlians would react?

They're waiting for the right time to make contact. And as you can see by the rising activity, the time is coming soon.

At the end of the day, testimony is evidence. Like any type of evidence, once you have a certain amount of it, the burden of proof shifts, and the skeptics have demonstrate why the witnesses are not credible. If they can't do that, then the rational step is to accept that the testimony is sound (even if the conclusions derived from it are not; again, you can believe in UFOs and not believe in Aliens. I certainly don't believe aliens have visited Earth).

Remember Transformers 2? Remember when they said the metropolitan battle at the end of the first one was "covered up"? Did anyone not think that was the stupidest thing ever?

Yeah, I guess so. Same as when I see a magic show and the assistant gets "sawed in half." I don't assume they're aliens and I treat any argument saying they are with a giant grain of salt. And I admit, maybe i have an unfair tendency to oppose such arguments, but I still at this point never feel like these arguments are ever concrete. There's always too much speculation and not enough facts.

The universe is sooooo big though. Assuming they solved intergalactic space travel (think thats what its called) why would they give a shit about Earth? Resources? Do they need more coal/gasoline to travel across billions of light years? Do they need whats in Billy Bob's asshole? I don't think so. And just because they're more technologically advanced doesn't mean they'd understand our society.

All in all I think mankind is just scared of the idea that we are alone in the universe. That there is nothing outside of what we have here. No great mystery or big space war/adventure, just trillions and trillions of light years full of nothingness in every direction, save for the occasional celestial object that bares no life.

And as much as I'd love to eat my words I don't think I ever will. At least not in my lifetime.

They give a shit about Earth simply because they're aware of us.

If WE knew of another planet with intelligent life on it and could make contact with it, would WE ignore it?

It's that simple. However, they know how primitive and dumb we are. If they were to just land and walk out of their spacecrafts, people would react with fear, panic, and ignorance, some even with hostility. And we all know that's true with all the idiots out there.

That's why these displays in the sky are gradually becoming more and more frequent... so we can warm up to them.

That's what I believe, anyway. That these objects are controlled by intelligent life is the most logical explanation to me, considering radar tapes and other sources catch these objects doing exactly what eye witnesses report all the time. So they can't all be special effects. That's downright nonsense.

First off.. awesome thread. I believe in this kind of things. About this latest sighting, I don’t think it’s a hoax. You can clearly see the same thing from three different angles. The speed in which this thing takes of is incredible and those lights in the sky afterwards are pretty freaky. A lot of UFO footage is fake.. a hoax or edited video’s. But this one is clearly not edited because of the different angles and I don’t think someone is able to pull of a hoax of this scale.

The China UFO from July last year was also intresting.

This picture could easily been edited. But it is a fact that the Chinese closed the airport that day because of this sighting. This proves that a lot of people have seen it. And again I don’t think someone is able to pull of a hoax of this scale. The is no more info know to me after these photographs. I don’t know if today there is more known about this sighting about what it was of if somehow it was a hoax. If someone knows more.. please tell me.

The closest thing I saw myself one day was a triangle shape object moving really fast at a really high altitude. I only saw three light in the form of a triangle (2 white, 1 red I believe). The thing that caught my attention was that it was moving too fast for the height it was on. And if I miscalculated the height somehow then it was still strange because it wasn’t making any sound at all. I’m not saying it was alien or something.. could also be a prototype airplane or something. But an airplane always has one flashing light. Still don’t know what it really was.

Edit: I just found out that you mentioned the same China UFO in your main post. I just never saw that picture before.

Spaceman Wrote:
I'm pretty sure that China one was proved to be some kinda space junk type thing. Like a piece broken off of a missile or satellite or something, i can't really remember.

I don’t think that’s space junk. Just look at the close-up pictures. In some pictures you can actually see it shine a beam of light on some buildings. If the official statement is space junk I would think cover-up.

Edit 2: The China UFO you talked about in the main post is not the same as the picture I showed above.. Yours was sighted on July 9 and the one in the pic on July 7.

Another believer. Cool.

And I found another video. It looks like the same orb that was hovering over jerusalem decided to come back.

This was recorded a few days ago in Australia.
