If you go see video game based movies strictly to see the story ranslated onto the big screen, you won't like Resident evil: Apocalypse. Though it tries, with minor throwbacks to RE3:Nemesis, it's other attempts at story making are inaccurate. You have to watch it to see for yourselves.
The main characters of said game, Jill Valentine and Carlos Oliviera, aren't nearly as integral as I would have thought. But still, that doesn't keep this from being a kick ass movie. The special effects are on point. You won't be disappointed. And the way they piece things together, it's fairly good.
The nemesis even throws in a surprise for you fanboys out there. But it ends there.
Leave your doubts and expectations at home, and have fun with this movie. It really is a sequel that tops the original.

Seriously, if people are turned off by the fact this movie doesn't stay on track with the game, I suggest you go and replay all of your RE's. And stop being such criticizing bitches. :)

yea, lol. I laughed alot. and siduu, people have their own opinions. Who the hell cares about what some stuffy old men and women think about a movie they wouldn't understand?

Siduu, last time I saw your flag it said you were from Afganistan, now its Jamacia? Back to subject, I knew the movie wouldn't have much ties to the game other than a few characters the town and the villian. In every video game movie these are the only things that come from or have to do with the game. So when I go see a movie that is based on a game I never expect to see an exact replica of the story (although that would be freakin' sweet, it will probably never happen) I just hope to see a good movie that has good acting, great Special Effects, and characters i'll remeber forever. It doesn't have to be exactly like the game to be good as long as their interpretation of it was well thought out and executed perfectly!

ff, there's going to be a few things that may bother you a little. But trust, you'll get over it. And, um, without giving too much away, you'll remember the main character for a long time :)

I am a Paul Anderson fan-boy. To some, he is the man for "fan-boy dreams come true." To others, he is the "franchise killer." Well, to me, he's one of the best mindless action movie makers out today. And by mindless, you SHOULD leave your brain at home and enjoy a pop-corn flick. I'm just sick how almost all of his movies end in friggin' CLIFF HANGERS! We get it! Just END a movie for once! Sequels be damned... Fatality.

same here, garlador. I havent had an issue with any of his movies yet. I say, if people want a deep intricate story, read the book.

Or play the game. Whatever floats your boat. People with high expectations for movies should lower their class a little. Expect the worst. Hope for the best. You're always pleasantly surprised. Fatality.

I'm part of the "franchise killer" then. The thing is that the game have so much character development, story, well written plot and script that it hurts to see all the good points beside the zombies and action left apart. If the video game producers were allowed to "direct" the movie and write the script, this movie could have being huge!

Ok, Kenshi, why did you think it was stupid? Was it lack of following the game's storyline?

You're right. It isn't a popular game series anymore. Resident Evil 4 only just happened to win Best in Show at E3 by practically every game site, show, and magazine....Sometimes I really wonder......And sometimes I don't have to.....

Ok, guess I wasn't the only person to see this movie (stupid Erik). Anyways, my friends say that this movie was barly resemblant of RE2, but I never really played the game so I wouldn't know. Ironic, I had to buy a ticket to see Hero to see RE:A, cause it's rated "R". Anyways the movie was diappointing and true true. This guys movies never END. Damn him. I really like the end before the end or maybe after the end, where they show news broadcasts. That is great. Jill and Olviero, wanted, yet they are part of the elite Umbrella now? Confusion! And the part with Alice. Crap bags, I'm probably boring you guys, I'll stop.

but this fat bitch sitting behind me kept going "Oh my god what happened" and couldnt keep her mouth shut from yelling throughout the entire movie.

Jill Valentine and that other chick(I think Elise was her name or something) are bot mad hot.

"Why won't you fly the helicopter?"

"Cuz I only drive cadilacs"

haha, that dude was hilarious.
