I don't give a hit what anybody said, I am a fan of RE games bigtime, and I didn't care if the movie was Game-Perfect, but obviously it wouldn't have been because of the first one, get over it! The movie exceeded my expectations ten times. I loved the sotry, the effects, the events that happened and the cliffhanger, at least we know that another sequel is coming and I am looking forward to it, A LOT! I am gonna see this movie in theatres at least once more. To anybody who isn't an RE hater or a game-uptight colsed minded fanboy, but rather a fan of what Resident Evil is all about (Zombies and monsters and kick ass action and storyline) go see it!

This movie was 100x better than the first movie. I really enjoyed this movie, Where as the first one sucked major monkey balls. Granted there were some mistakes, But that's ok.

But i absolutley hated Alice in the first movie, And i hated her even more in this one because she always has to out-stage the other characters and it drives me nuts!

My only beef with the movie was near the end (SPOILERS) When Alice and Nemesis brawl... It didn't make sense to me. Granted she was stronger than she was in the first movie, But only about male body-builder strength in her small frame along with dramatically increased stamina, Endurance and jumping ability. Hell, She had to shoot a hole in a plywood wall to escape from Nemesis and got injured in the process, While Nemesis just rammed through the building's brick outside with ease. Also nothing phased Nemesis throught the movie, A juggernaut!. Yet in their fight... She was kicking his ass??? He practically stood there like a stumbling dork and let her hit him. And how could she hurt him? Well the guy did state they were just as strong(yeah right) and fast(ehh) as one another... Yet she was the one running circles around him and hurting him. Sure he displayed strength they wanted you to "think" Alice had through the entire movie... The whole fight was just bogus. Just another example of what i mean by them trying to make her look better than all the other characters no matter how far they have to go.(END SPOILERS)

Her outstaging was quite annoying. Her speed was great though, and it topped Nemisis's brute strength. Nemesis looked really good in this movie. Is Jill played by the girl on I love the 70's, 80's, strike's back, 90's, etc, who was like, "I tried out for beetle juice, but wasn't casted." Girl's in movies are funny, "Like oh my gosh. I have to blast zombies to like bits. Hmmm.. let me find my sluttiest outfit with the least protection."

First RE movie was great.

This one...even better.

This movie is non-stop action, and Nemesis looked fantastic, he didnt look like a guy in a suit, and I agree with what somebody said earlier about the last fight, it sucked for Nemesis. The story was somwhat similar to the RE game, but alot of it was changed, which I thought would suck, but was actually pretty cool. Im sure any RE fan will love this movie, but no Blade:Trinity trailer sad

I'm part of the "franchise killer" then. The thing is that the game have so much character development, story, well written plot and script that it hurts to see all the good points beside the zombies and action left apart. If the video game producers were allowed to "direct" the movie and write the script, this movie could have being huge!

Ok, first of all, I'd like to know where the good story is in RE, where a bunch of military get stuck in a mansion with zombies, and there's an underground lab. It's about as B movie as it gets. Sure it's creepy because you're the one playing, and the storyline is revealed bit by bit, which is pretty cool, but it's still cheesy, old, and just plain boring nowadays.
And I guess you find ''All the foxy ladies want to go out with Carlos, because I have such a sexy accent'' to be the amazingly well written plot and script.
Yeah right. It's very diferent with video games. It's a whole diferent type of entertainment. You just can't do the same in a movie.

I saw the Trinity Trailer, you know what!? They don't even show you who he fights with, all they say is that there is new evil...

Anyway, I loved the Nemesis fight, I felt really sorry for it though, Nemesis was a lot cooler in the movie than in the game, probly because he was so damn annoying and presistent in the game. It's like, the first movie I loved, but now that I've seen this one... The first one seems dull and stale, that's how good this movie is!

To all those who didn't like it: I respect your opinion, this is an MK site and that means that not all of us are RE fans, but don't flame the movie, it was a great flick.

Also, about Mike Epps, it was a risky thing, but turned out EXCELLENT, can you believe that there is something THAT hilarious in the movie and yet it diesn't ruin the mood of it.

~sigh~

Oh sod it! If I see one stupid close up of someone saying some stupid cliche, then I'm walkin' out and sneaking into Hero.

Man, that's like me taking your favourite movie and shitting on it. REA was awesome, in case you haven't noticed, they didn't give Carlos a funny accent, they didn't make him a cocky guy who thinks every woman wants him... (Sounds like Johnny Cage) I actually liked the Movie Carlos better than Game Carlos. The movie was great and I think that makes it my new favourite, so if you gonna critisize the movie at least be nice and constructive about it.

Wow i totally liked the movie.Yeah who cares that much that it wasnt based on the game, atleast then you didnt know what was going to happen so it would be a surprised.Does anyone else know that MKA and REA have something in common. One the first movies were both directed by Paul W S Anderson, second both second movies were directed by a guy who was a PD before and that the last words on the title both started with an A.

But anyway i really cant wait for Resident Evil Afterlife now.

Logan's Review:

Coming off mixed emotions about the first movie I was skeptical of the second one. The first of course had a low budget and a very simple story, but entertaining nonetheless...for what it was.

The second movie proved (to me) to be a lot better than expected. It provided very jumpy suspense and more than decent action.

The acting was pretty good except for that stupid weather girl. I smiled when the children ate her.

Dialogue was better than I expected. Anderson should stick to script writing rather than directing.

Just the right amount of special effects in my opinion

The story itselfs was okay. Somethings were just out of place, like the zombies coming out of the graves, and the stippers. However, I was intrigued with the direction they took Alice and I kind of liked how they changed up key charactors from the game. Nicholi was more honorable than his game counterpart, and Carlos was cooler.

The ending left me bewildered because I asked myself, what else possibly could they expand on? They basically covered the majority of RE concepts in that one movie.

I give this movie a $5.45 out of $5.50
