If i could only get one, which would be right for me? I'm not a big fan of spider-man 2 (still have it for original xbox....hardly works)i really like shattered dimensions.I've been wanting to play a open world Spidey game on ps3 for a while now.I've heard both good and bad things about both games. Can anyone give me a completely objective view on both? Story?Open world fun? Voice acting? Gameplay?

I've only played Amazing but I enjoyed it, Much more so than the movie.
The game is VERY rough round the edges, lacking polish in most areas but that doesn't stop it from being enjoyable.
I played Edge of Time too, it was just okay, kind of held down by being entirely indoors.

I played WoS's and while fun it can be buggy and un-responsive. However, there is some diversity in it from ASM. But I'd say ASM has the better gfx and responsive gameplay.

Wait. I've played both. Get Web of Shadows. Gameplay is much more fun. ASM may have had costumes, but it was boring and repetitive.

Well,it does have 700 collectable comic pages.I hear it playss like the arkham games, which i love by the way.But i still haven't fiugred it out.50$ For amazing at gamestop(only 5$ off used) Vs 30$ For web of shadows Used.Gamestop being the only possible place i could go to due to my location.I'll keep trying to figure it out. Also, how bad is peter parker's voice in Web?

The 700 collectibles are easy to find, You find a few hundred by yourself (there literally everywhere) and the game then adds the rest to your map.

I don't know about Amazing, but Web of Shadows was pretty much the same five objectives over and over and got really repetitive. Having to take out 2000 symbiotes before each mission got tiresome and tedious.

You and raiden aren't making this any easier.

Yes, and repeating a quick time event three times to beat every boss isn't repetitive at all.
Boss battles are literally PRESS X TO WIN, and random street crimes are just mashing the attack button. ASM is beyond repetitive in all its aspects. Its story and voice acting fail compared to Web of Shadows, too.

I'm not trying to put you off Web, I've never played it and cannot comment.
I'm just saying that Amazing is fun, it lacks polish in every area but its fun. (think prototype 2)
Swinging around the city is as fun as ever.

I'd say get both, but if you only had to pick one, I'd suggest Web of Shadows. ASM was a huge step down in the series in my opinion. In ASM they went for the Arkham Asylum combat approach which is not suited for a Spider-Man game. The story was dumb despite them advertising that they had the guy who wrote the Battlestar Galactica to write it. They couldn't get Andrew Garfield to VA. Also a lot of people were upset about the "moon swinging" in ASM, not sure if that will affect you or not.

I guess i could go to amazon.I'll probably find a way to make myself get asm.As much as i love web of shadows trailer(with moonlight sonata playing) I really do not have any clue.I hope whichever one i get, there's at least a decent amount of fun side mission or random(ish) crimes to stop.I'd go with web for price, symbiotes, able to bring in heroes or villains(Maximum carnage style!),choices(= replayability),and combat.Asm because new(ish?) graphics, supossedly similar in some ways to the arkham games, stealth, the fact that there are a few indoor areas(even though those are not liked super heros would inside now and then)and the rhino(spidey game remember?)
Anyway i'll let you know what i pick in a few months. When i'll be able to do this kind of thing. Decisions.....Decisions...

i've played web of shadows. it has a nice combat systom. lot's of unlockables. didn't play it for long though. played it like 30 min or longer at bestbuy or gamestop. it was fun.
i have not played amazing spiderman so i can't comment.
i'd go with web of shadows.
or you can watch some videos on youtube, read some reviews, check stores/websites for prices then decide. that may help your decision.

Have done that.Reviews are either just negative about both or just praises, videos just show webswinging, and prices are actually pretty close on amazon.21$ and 34$ compared to gamestop's 30$ and 50$.So yeah.
