although nick names aren't part of the thread topic, it's close enough.
or Phil, i'd prefer if you'd call me Phil.
I have a bunch of others i use as nicknames.
Here goes, i'll try to remember some of them.
Philip, Phil, Phillippe,Phillup, FlipMode, Brodeur, brodprod, Philez,Phildo,Phleggy,P-Rod,Philyss.
Philip, Phil, and Brodeur are the most common.
I'll explain.
Philip--My original name given at birth.
Phil--2nd name, short-form of Philip, used by friends.
Phillup--Used by people who mis-pronounced by name.
Philez--Madeup be a friend long time ago, a stupid pointless name that was supposed to be lesbianish, you know immature student-like.
Phillippe--A name made up by students from the french class, as it is default in french.
Flipmode--made up by another friend, who is a freestyle rapper, christian, and smokes dope and does drugs.-I have never seen him since then.
Philyss--made up by the same friend who tried creating a lesbianish like name.
Phildo--made up by a girl who was a bit horny.can't go into details.
P-Rod--made up by people from my 2nd highschool, as my last name is Rodrigues, and my brother's name is Alex, his nickname is A-Rod, like Alex Rodriguez from the american baseball league,yankees, so eventually i got the nick.
Brodeur--one of my very early nicks, which was created because my favourite role model all time is the goaltender from the NHL, and from the New Jersey Devils: Martin Brodeur. he has won many Stanley Cups, trophies and such and even the Olympic Gold Medal. And he even scored a goal in a game, in face he has more than a goal.
I grew up playing hockey and always wanted to be like him. I am a goaltender for a team called "The Box" in the CYRHL, in my community. The season was over..we got out in the 1st round. in fact, i am the backup goalie, who took over as starting goalie, and also the coach, and the manager. Anyways, all my friends after knowing that my role model was Brodeur, eventually they called me that.
brodprod--this is a combination of brodeur and the initials of my name.
Phleggy--the latest of the nicks, not used as much as the others, is a definition of the person i am. phlegmatic. yea..
