Metal Slug, Lunar: Silver Star Story Complete, Final Fantasy VII, Mega Turrican (Sega), Sonic, Mortal Kombat II, Full Throttle, and Forgotten Worlds. Lots of Sega, I love the music, and I also love the music in Full Throttle *great Lucas Arts PC game*, probably the greatest of all time.

Well, seeing as everyone here (except DanteThePoetic) has a somewhat looser definition of "old school" games than I do, I'll post some of my SNES favorites:
Super Mario World
Super Mario Kart
Donkey Kong Country
Mortal Kombat 1-UMK3
Street Fighter 2 Turbo/SSF2
Killer Intinct

Good times...
Oh, I also enjoy Archanoid and Galaga. Also, I don't know if it's really "old school," but it plays like an old school game: Jezzball; I guess it's pretty old, since it was built into the computer I got about 6 or 7 years ago.

I like a lot of the "old school" games because their gameplay is simple and addictive. Especially classics like Galaga, Tetris, etc. No definite goal or boss; you just keep trying to break your old records.

I absolutely love all the donkey kong games for the SNES. I beat them so many times without using any cheats, there so fun to play. I even still play them. I also love all the super mario games for the N64 and SNES. Tons of other games to, but its way to many to name, it might take up atleast 2 pages.tongue

Anything on SNES really. The girl in my sig has one with a TON of good games (Mario RPG, the Ninja Turtles game, etc). It wails. I'm going to try to buy it from her. One of my only regrets is selling my SNES and all of my old games to my idiot neighbor.

Super Mario:lost Worlds for NES.it was only released in Japan and it was pretty much SMB1 but with poison 'shrooms and a wall that blocked all enemies and pits in front of you.
