Im sorry, but There's no way in hell anyone can live on 50k a year. You would still have to work.

This is incorrect.

Lol yeah i make 44k a year and i own my own 120k house, have enough money to pay all of my bills, get video games whenever i feel like i can and pay off debt as well. Steve odekirk on bill Maher said that 50k a year is the sweet spot for income, that's where i based that number at. Now talk to someone who works minimum wage at 40 hours a week and brings home 350 dollars a week, now that is an income not quite livable my friend.

Yeah, I'd say 50-75k a year is pretty reasonable. It's usually what civil servants (police and fire fighter make). It's not a ton of money if you think interns of corporate america, but it's very reasonable.

Yes, it's no where near "rich," but it's definitely comfortable. Some people in third world countries survive off of less than one dollar a day, so i count my blessings on the regular!

I guess it depends on your perspective, and where you live. Ive lived in Alpine, New Jersey for 13 years. If your not established, things will go from one hundred to zero quick out here. #smh

Ah yes, east coast. I took a 3 day vacay in NYC and stayed in Hoboken. Crazy expensive cost of living. Trust me 50k here on Michigan would be like 100k there, no joke.

Thats whatsup bro. Hoboken is a nice place to drink. A bar on every block. I been there dozens of times. I think real estate companies in general price homes sky high if they are close by the water or near New York City Or any major city.

Oh absolutely! Btw, my wife and i are huge Jersey shore fans, and i want to drive out to seaside heights for a few days, as it is only about an 11 hour drive from Lansing, mi where i live. If you've been there, do you know if parking is easily accessible for us to spend the day on the beach and the night on the board walk? Actually let me rephrase that... Would it be a short walk from a local hotel, such as a best western or ramada inn, to the beach/boardwalk? Thanks for the info!

Not sure about that one. I haven't been to Seaside sense my high school days, and that was before the show came out lol, and Hurricane Sandy for that matter. Parking is always a nightmare by the beach, specially when it gets nice outside. If you want to go, late April, early May is the best time to go. Avoid those crowds, because it's so large you can barely walk pass people in the summer time.

I'd definitely travel. Experience as much as I can cram into my lifetime.

I live in San Francisco (the most overpriced city in the entire fucking nation), so I'd probably STILL have to work even with that extra 50K a year.

Pfft.
