I've always hated fedoras. Don't know why, but I don't like a lot of hat styles.
Way back in high school, one guy always wore a fedora, but not a suit to match or anything. Dunno if he was into Rat Pack or Swing era music or what. Then several years ago, my mom got a fedora for whatever reason.

I'm sure the recent hate for fedoras may come from people's hate of hipsters.

What type of beanie are you referring to? The small skullcap with the propeller or the toque type things? I also dislike berets, news/golf hats(looks like a baseball hat flopped forward onto the bill/beak), bowlers, fishing caps, sun hats, cowboy hats. I'm sure there's more...

The only hats I like are baseball caps, top hats, touques, bandannas, jester hats, and sombreros.

It just baffles me a person can be shallow enough to judge someone from what hat he/she wears.

Don't get me wrong: someone can dislike a particular clothing apparel. Lke you said, you don't like fedoras yourself. It just irks me that we, according to these new age college kids, supposedly live in a politically correct SJW world, yet these same internet pussies will just as quickly judge and point fingers at what isn't the norm.

Most likely because it's been overly appropriated by young adult "men" with neckbeards and a terrible sense of hygiene. That and it's a terribly outdated relic of fashion. It was cool back in the 1950s if you were involved in a crime syndicate, not in the early 21st century.

Also, making fun of minorities and women is different from making fun of people who wear fedoras. You can choose to wear a fedora, you don't get to choose your gender or ethnicity. I don't like SJWs as much as the next person, but c'mon.
