I'm pretty certain I want to get a good online RPG, however, I'm at a crossroads at which one to pick. Fantasy has always been my thing, but, wouldn't you know, there are a ton of good ones coming out. So, which would be most promising?

-EverQuest II (though I loathe what this thing has become...)
-Lineage II (supposedly the larges RPG ever... and it looks good...)
-World of Warcraft (any game by Blizzard is golden....)
-City of Heroes (not typically my thing, but maybe just quirky enough to work...)
-Matrix Online (more than likely will suck worse than Enter the Matrix, but you never know...)

Fatality.

Let's tackle these one at a time.

Everquest II: If you want to get hooked on crack, just ask a drug dealer.

Lineage II: Never heard of it, so it could be good.

City of Heroes: Eeeeh! Whoop de sh*t.

Matrix Online: Really, I'd wait til someone else buys it and play their copy. If it's good then shell out the duckets! If not, at least you'll know without paying for it!

Really, you should look at more titles to choose from.

OH I forgot! World of Warcraft. It's not my cup of earl grey, but I've heard great things about it.

So... Warcraft might be the one you would like best. But stll, don't limit yourself to the titles you've chosen.

WTF?!!! Can't be a villain?! Oh damn that!! furious They need a City of Villains game!

Star Wars Galaxies is pretty good. Just you have to stay committed to playing it like a fiend or you'll lose interest over time.

Either EverQuest II or Matrix Online. Hopefully EQ2 is more exciting than its predecessor.

I've never played an Everquest, so all I know is that they put the same scantily-clad babe with the huge hooters on every box, while in reality the only characters you can really play as are as ugly as mud. From what I've seen in WoW and Lineage, you can actually look cool (though some of the dark elves in thongs might be distracting.) Ah, the nerd-boy joys of digital female anatomy. God bless you, Lara Croft. Fatality.

1. Rival Schools
Even though this game has terrible graphics, it's very very entertaining, for me at least.
2. Capcom vs SNK 2
One word: Perfection. That's all I got to say. Just try it.

That's all I can think of right now.

I know what you mean. Just look at Disc 2 of EverQuest: The Planes of Power.
You can see it at www.mobygames.com with disc scans and box art.

I'm not sure if it's online capable, but theres a game coming out for X-BOX called Fable and so far it looks to be one of the best RPG's ever created. I suppose we'll see, check it out though, you will probably agree. Ebgames.com
