Who are the Mods?

hey guys I want to talk to someone in charge about this skull system... or could you direct me to a link about the site rules concerning the issuing of skulls or could I just talk to someone in charge of this site... I feel that I was issued skulls without proper consideration... I'm new here I know, but I have been trying to contribute to this site and I feel like I am being treated unfairly...i visit at least 3 times a day... and I try to post relevent topics...but some jerk tells me to fuck off and I come up with a good comeback and I am punished for it... what is that?... all of a sudden I dont have the freedom to defend myself to people trolling my post... why is that?....
Your also not allowed to flame people. If you have a real problem with someone than I think its better left up to the PM system. Were all adults here so lets try to act like it. Just my 2 cents...

I'm by no means a mod but I think I know what incident you're referring to and you just took NS922's "Fuck you hoe! tongue" at face value when he was intending to crack a joke and then fired off a pretty lengthy and nasty toned message back. So yeah, just chalk it up to miscommunication (sarcastic tongue-in-cheek jokes don't always translate well to text) and move on. You have to acquire a good bit of skull points to actually get banned.

The best thing to do here is simply to just rise above it, like I say we have competent mods, and those who flame you will more than likely get their comeuppance. So just don't try getting into flame wars and enjoy posting in a great forum.

What exactly do you contribute? I've seen quite a few of your posts, and definitely have seen no contribution. Unless you're talking about posting unmaintained 70s bush in the faces thread, which is a nasty, bad way of contributing.

Everyone here gets treated the same way. No one gets special attention, or no one gets punished every day due to what they write.

The last few stuff that you posted, however, did seem skull worthy, and you were pretty lucky that no mod caught that picture you submitted with the deformed vaj.

Not to mention, right here: A thread made by you a mod was nice enough to help you out.

It's easy to know who's a mod and who isn't due to their avatars and signatures. A lot of them have animated signatures of the character they have in the avatar... They skulled you because of some of the things you wrote. No one is trying to make you feel unwelcomed, you just have to understand that even though this is a site dedicated to an M-rated game, the material you write/show in posts needs to be appropriate because you don't know who you're talking to. Since there's a lot of diversity on this site, we all have to accept the people that's on here and not be a dick about it.

Just flaming back at a user may not do you any good, and could spark a flame war. That is not what we want around here. The best you can do is tell such a user to stop flaming once and move on. If you feel the issue is really out of hand, report the issue to a moderator, do not continue to defend for yourself.

Actually, I did catch that picture, but I decided that no further action was necessary. At any rate, we are pretty easy to find around here, so drop one of us a PM in the future if you have any more concerns.

The Page listing Mods needs to be updated. But anybody with a rank of "Portal Guard", "God" or "Elder God" are the people to talk to if there is an issue.

Sigs like Mine or M0s3ph's are pretty easy to find, usually wielded by mods. (or Jaded-Raven because some people are special.... tongue)

but it still seems bogus... i started that thread to play with people in my home town and I didn't realize his sarcasm... especially since my post really didn't need a sarcastic reply...
and you guys crying about the picture i posted is pathetic... ohh no... hairy bush in the background of my picture... whatever... I took it down as soon as someone said somthing...I am SO sorry for trying to post somthing a little off-color to make things a little more interesting...

Actually, this site isn't specifically devoted to finding other Mortal Kombat players to meet up with in real life. It's a mixing pot of everything Mortal Kombat, and even some things that aren't (hairy beavers aren't one of them though.) Just take it easy, relax, take a deep breath. It's only the Internet. We'd love to welcome you in with open arms, but it's not easy given what we've got to work with so far. Smile, contribute, don't be a wiener, and make friends. We'd love for you to be a part of the community.

Yeah, but you flamed and made fun of him pretty harshly. He didn't do anything mean to you. Haha, I like how you give me the nickname "Double Standard". I'm just making sure you know that just because it is a private message doesn't mean that the rules don't apply in it.
