I was born in Japan, so I've always have an affinity towards anime. My favorites go as follows:
1. Record of Lodoss War
2. Vampire Hunter D: Bloodlust
3. X/TV
4. Princess Mononoke
5. Rurouni Kenshin OVAs
6. Any and all Gundam (especially Gundam X)
7. Generator Gawl
8. Outlaw Star
9. Akira
10. Vision of Escaflowne (for some reason, I really liked the movie, though fans didn't.)

Fatality.

I didn't like it because it was too different from the series, I was expecting a special that took place after the series but it seems more like the series in a nutshell.

Having said that it was pretty good, if I hadn't have seen the series I would've thought it to be brilliant.

I have a rule when it comes to anime. If it's not comedy, I don't want to see it. So my favourite series are all comedies:

- Slayers
- Excel Saga
- Kare Kano
- Dragon Half
- Elf Princess Raine
- The Ultimate Teacher
- Devil Hunter Yohko
- Love Hina
- Project A-ko
- Shinesmen

GTO is good too, but I got tired of it by season 3.
Not that it's obvious...
I've been in and out of quite a few anime series over the years. I LOVE anime ,especially the hair.

DragonBall/Z/GT ,Gundam/08th MS Team/0080/Wing/Endless Waltz ,Pokemon ,Digimon ,Sailor Moon up to Super S or whatever ,Ninja Scroll ,Cowboy Bebop ,Outlaw Star ,Vision of Escaflowne ,Princess Mononoke ,Ghost in the shell ,Geobreeders ,Dual! ,Mosquiton ,Yu-Gi-Oh! ,Cardcaptor Sakura-the crap shown here ,InuYasha-my all time FAV ,I know there's alot more. There's an anime club here that screens various shows and movies ,but I'm not a people person I've only gone like 3 times.

Good god, that little girl was just too cute.

Here's my list of favs:
-Visions of Escaflowne (I refuse to watch the movie)
-GTO
-Berserk
-Rah Xephon (I refuse to watch the movie)
-FLCL (Although it is getting killed)
-Cowboy Bebop (Actually had a great movie)
-Trigun
-Noir
-Goldenboy
-Full Metal Panic
-Hellsing

There are more, but I'm feeling lazy right now. And just like every other anime thread there has been in the past, I'd like to reiterate that I only watch anime in Japanese with subtitles because I HATE English Dubs (except Cowboy Bebop, and Goldenboy).

And I'd like to point out that I watch English dubs by preference because I HATE reading something and trying to watch it at the same time.
I'm not saying subs or dubs are superior. They're both inferior, really. But I'm not fluent in Japanese so I go with the one that's less painful. wink

i asked my cousin how she could do that, trying to watch a DVD but having to look at the bottom of the screen to read it. She said she's used to it.

It's not hard at all. After a while you start putting the words to the pronounciation(I know I spelt that wrong). Also, 98% of the time when long talking scenes the charecters are standing pretty still, or just being casual. During action scenes, the lines are usually shorter. The subs rarly obscure the visuals, and with a big enough screen and the right amount of distance, I can read and watch at the same time. It doesn't require that much skill.

I don't like the English because the actors always seem to try too hard, and great lines from the original Japanese almost always sound corny in English(either because of the wording, or because the words are changed all together).

Well, I don't feel like typing anything too long and drawn out right now, so I'll just start a list of the anime titles that I like (that I can remember off the top of my head at the moment) and I'll edit later with what I can remember and why I like each.

Samurai Troopers/Ronin Warriors
Card Captor Sakura
Inuyasha
X
Naruto
Love Hina
Azumanga Daioh
Ebichu
Great Teacher Onizuka
.hack//Sign
Spirited Away
Princess Mononoke
Cowboy Bebop
Chobits
Blue Seed
Hikaru no Go (Manga)
Yu Gi Oh (Manga only, uncut, unadulterated, lol)
Yu Yu Hakusho
One Piece
Hellsing
Golden Boy
Trigun
Samurai X
3x3 Eyes
Nadesico
Onegai Teacher
Tekkamon Blade II
Slayers
Magic Knight Rayearth
Shamanic Princess
Ceres
Fruits Basket
Excel Saga
Evangelion
Wolf's Rain
Zone of the Enders

Edit: Okay, I think that's about all. The beginning are the series that are pretty much my favorites. After 3x3 Eyes, it kind of becomes a wishlist as I may or may not have seen the full series of some of those, hehe. I have enjoyed all of those to some point though. There are a few rather well known series' such as Ghost in the Shell, and Evangelion that I have failed to mention, but I haven't seen much more than an episode of each so I don't feel right saying they're my favorites. The same goes for some items such as Wolf's Rain at the bottom. I really enjoyed what I saw of it but I only saw one episode.

Im not a big fan of anime, and yet im vice president of a high school anime club. I guess I joined cause some of it is interesting, and others make me gag. I only liked Yu Yu Haku Sho and Some other one... but Im a big fan of comic book heros. Transformers. Xmen(not the gay new stuff), spiderman, fantastic four, silver surfer, the incredible hulk, thundercats, and a few others. I only seen a couple of anime's (cowboy beebop looked pretty impressive) oh and Outlaw Star was pretty good. I saw only One Episode of Hellsing and that lokked pretty good too. I dont know im not too big on reading anime. Strange Enough, I have almost every comic of Sonic the Hedgehog. I loved the storyline so much and the games(back then sonic 2, 3, and sonic and knuckles were awesome) I just had to stick with it.

If you are, whats your favorate anime shows of all times? And what anime shows do you least/hate the most?

My fav. is Cardcaptor Sakura Uncut Japanese series (the dubbed version sucks), Magic Knight Rayearth and Utena.

My least fav. is any anime that is in dubbed

The ones I watch over time and again are: Akira, Fist of the North Star, Serial Experiments: Lain, Cowboy Beebop, Here and There Now and Then, Cool Devices, and Speed Racer.

And yes, dub sucks more monkey balls than a professional monkey ballsucker.

'Fraid not Libra. Funny that both are shows finished early though, and had similar titles. I just remembered what it was called, and I looked it up and this was it: The Legend of the Four Kings. There were four brothers of the Ryudo family called Hajime, Tsuzuku, Owaru and Amaru. But they were older than the guys you showed in your pic. Has anyone seen 'The Legend of the Four Kings'? It was really good, and I'm wondering if anyone else has seen it?

(But I'm glad you made this thread Libra, now I found the TWO names of the shows I had forgotten and really liked when I was younger. I will look out for them now I know the names....)

Lol, yeah that's Samurai Troopers/Ronin Warriors, there are 5 of them (not couting the warlords or Black Inferno), and no they don't turn into dragons ;-P

Chances are, they are two different series' though that you're referring too. (is tempted to put up a shameless plug for her RW/YST website) >:D
