To tell you the truth,I don't know why.Back in 1999 I just lurked around here as a guest(and saved alot of fake MK pics to my school laptop
).I enjoyed the fan submitted stories and pics. The weird thing was I stumbled on MKO by accident.I was desperate for MK news at the time so I just typed in diffrent URL's until I came across MK5.org.The only MK5 news here was that pic of Raiden on the computer screen and that Scorpion 5 logo.I finally became a member in late 2002 right when MKDA came out.I was surprised at how the MKO boards worked. Before MKO I was signed up to the Nickelodeon boards and the mods were robots.I got banned off of there because I started this "BRING THE OLD SHOWS BACK"thread. They got mad because alot of people agreed with me.It took a day for a message to post on their boards but on MKO it was up there instantly.
The 1st person I met here was Murdoink. He posted in my thread about a fatality that I wanted to see in MKD.So I PM'ed him and said thanks plus he showed me where to get photoshop.I was a little messed up when I 1st joined I started this flame war with Hyuga.I didn't know he liked to joke around alot and I took offense to it and made a thread about him.I feel dumb now when I look back at it but things happen for a reason.A little after that I started getting into the fake pic buisness.I was clueless because nobody really took the time and showed me how to make fakes except for Crow and Timsmk.Alot of people told me my fakes were just copy and pastes. Then I found out why they said I was copying and pasting. So I took a trip and thought about how can I improve my skill.I just started thinking of really twisted stuff thats how some of my best pics came about.I started editing sprites and turning them into MKDA sprites.I was happy when I started getting good comments especially the last pic I made with Mavado and Baraka.
There are more stories but I'll post them later.

I was just looking for a place with MK info. I got here via Google! This was the first forum I ever joined and I was a complete noob, which explains my username as I didn't want it to be what it is. I ended up staying as I loved the place.

I found it via yahoo search, was looking for mk5 info I believe.I lurked around for a while then joined, didnt post for a while.I believe one of my first posts was a huge flame war o_O yep,I was apparently born this way
then just started posting all the time. Not too many stories really.
I was googling for information about MKD, then this site came up. I visited this site very often, but I wasn't a member. Then one day I decided to join, so I signed up.
I remember my first post was about a thread that was asking if it was a good idea to have a viking looking guy on MK. So, in that thread was my first post. My first thread had to do with something about Tanya, I don't really remember what it was, but my first thread was about Tanya.
My username, I got it from the song 'Toxic' by Britney Spears of course
Lol, I like that song & when I signed up for MKO that song was very popular so I used that title for my username.

I found MKO through the Unofficial MK3 movie page.
After MK4 came out and I'd played it out, I lost interest in MK, and I didn't even know MKDA came out in 2002. Then in early 04 I found MKDA for like $20, bought it and thought it was wicked, it rekindled my MK interest. I went on google and looked up info for the next MK movie, which led me to Shinnokkz site, and it had a large link to MKO. Followed that, and found myself coming to MKO (via the MK3 movie page
) a lot, just checkin out the threads and stuff. Then like a month later in early April 04 I just signed up.
My first post was in the Classics in a thread about Rain and his storyline. I think it was about his bio in some early N64 MKT game manuals, where it says he was a member of the Lin Kuei. I guess someone wanted to know more about it. In typical n00b fashion I typed out and posted his entire regular MKT bio (the Edenian one) thinkin I was being useful, but I'm pretty sure the thread maker didn't think so - since they specificaly said they didn't want info about that...Don't remember what their response was though.
Another early n00b memory was when I got into an argument (again in the Classics) cus I though Sektor was top tier in MKT

It was January 10 2001. I was using my DreamCast browser and on search I put "Mortal Kombat" and one of the sites that appeared was MK5.ORG. I went to the forums, got interested and signed up. By that time, the forums where on Gamers.com days... (ah, memories). I liked it so I stayed.

In the late summer or early fall of 2002 I was thinking about how long ago it had been since MK4 had been released, and figured MK must have been dead. (I'm not an especially avid gamer, so I never kept myself appraised with vid magazines.) On a lark, I Googled "MK5" to confirm that I wasn't so far out of the loop that an MK game had been released without me knowing about it. To my surprise, Mk5, or MKDA, was coming soon. I believe a link to MK5.org, the news page of which featured the latest promo pics from this radical departure from previous MK games, was at the bottom of the first page returned by my search. I was never a big fan of message boards, but after a while checked out the boards here, found them rather interesting, and signed up as a member in early 2003.
After a couple months I kinda lost interest in the site, then came back a couple months later, and have been posting, or at least visiting, pretty regularly ever since.

I started coming to MK5.org since late 2000, but I didn't become a member till I think late 2003. I signed for to talk about MK in general. The good and bad. Sadly a good sum have no respect for others. Since I've been here flaming has been on the rise. I respect others no matter what there opinion on whether they like a specific MK game or not, but when others make threats.

Around '98, or '99, whichever it was, Gamepro put a small blurb in their magazine about 'mk5.org' I checked it out, and it was a little newspage with a Gamers.com forum attached. I was here w/ith the likes of FatSatan, dominojr, etc etc. Those were good days.
I left sometime in 2000, maybe 2001, cuz the place got ridiculous. I came back after MKDA was announced and screens started leaking under a different screen name, because my log-in info here was lost and I wasn't allowed to re-register with this classic name because it was still in the system. I sent about a dozen e-mails asking for help but never got responses, then finally one day, sometime after MKDA hit, I was able to register as my classic name again, and here I am. One of the few remaining gamers.com vets. And I rarely come by here anymore because I think this community has gotten ridiculous over the years. There's still a good few around here though, but not many.
So that' s my story.

Oh man, I forgot all about the dreamcast browser. That's all I had back when my computer broke down. I forgot all about it. Using that weird magnifier square to read the posts. That's become one of my favorite memories about the place now that I can look back at that and laugh.
I was searching for good info on MK when searching for MK3 moves and I stumbled on news of an upcomming MK4, I was searching for info on it, then MKGold and then this site became MK5.org. I wasn't in the forums thoug... I never even read them, I came for the info, I had an account... but never used it 'cause I didn't know what it was for.
It was until this septembre I decided to look in forums here and in DMK... Here I am. I wasn't much of a n00b 'cause I know how not to be an ass.
