It is sad that people have to flame, but it will happen no matter what. People seem to forget that there are nice ways to go about being negative. Flaming is uneeded and unnecessary, yet they don't seem to care.

They are some nice people in here, I won't name, names because they know who they are. Anyway some people just don't care about it, which is sad.

It IS sad. i wish we could do something to try and cut down on it, though

Well, some people DESERVE to get flamed.
It's human nature to lash out against stupid people. It just can't be helped. If all the stupid people would just smarten up/go away/die, nobody would have any more reasons to resort to flaming. It's a double-edged sword. Might as well get used to it...

I 100% agree with your thread, sadly, some thing will never change.

Don't count this as a flame, but... Stupid humans! Like, some people gotta learn to get over themselves, swallow their pride and admit that htey are wrong, instead, they KNOW they're wrong and because of that they get angry and start yelling... ARGH! Kill all humans!

I agree bro, but we have been here for a couple of time and you know sometimes situations ask for it, i wont insult or flamme no one, but i just can't stand when seomeone flammes for no reason.

Entertainment value really. To me flaming kinda left with the 90's. I like to warm up once in a while, and it relieves stress. Flaming is only ever done properly in newsgroups and irc.

I totally agree. I've brought this thread up a long time ago too. Back then everyone was even bitchier than they are now so it got closed.

Flaming is unnecessary... just talk to the person like a civilized human being.. is that too hard?

There are numerous reasons people flame, but the fact is, it's a dead cause. Flaming doesn't work. It only brings out the other user's defenses, which makes my job more difficult.

If you want to stop the bullshit, reason with the user. Point out why you dislike his post and his behavior, and try to be constructive about it. If you avoid direct insults and harsh language, they'll usually be rational and listen to you. On the other hand, if you they get pissed because you gave them constructive criticism, fuck 'em. With that attitude, they'll be banned evantually anyway.

Sometimes it is. Especially when the other person is a moron on a grande scale.

I always thought that people that flame are just looking for attenion and aren't intellient enough to discuss a topic civilly.There really is no reason to argue and call each other names on a forum in my opinion.

I think people who flame are really the nice ones.

temp, you have an excellent point, everyone has a right to be stupid at some point in their lives. it's just some ppl take it to a new lvl. with some of the flames i've seen. human nature to disagree, yes. being flat-out evil with it. that's just not cool, no matter how you look at it.

And like others have said, when people flame, it's 'cause someone has done something that warrants the flame. And yes, there are a select few who it's practically impossible to be civil with now.

Flaming is inevitable.People are going to do it no matter what.MOST people on this site are good people.Some come and try to bug people,try to start flame wars.Im not saying I havent been in flame wars,cause that would be lying,what I try to do hear is basically stick up for people who are getting flamed.If the person doesnt need it,I dont come,unless they make a statement that hurts me.However,if a person cannot,or just doesnt want to defend themselves,and the other keeps flaming,I try and step in,stop it.I know it is stupid,but usually I respond to their flames,with flames of my own.I try not to get into it too much though,like not personally attack the person.Unless they do really something wrong or disrespectful.Then I jump on them,no doubt about,dont care who they are,they disrespect someone in a very bad way,they dont get away with it.I am very glad that big flame wars dont start everyday,it would be too much.If that happened,it would be goodbye MKO for me.Cant stand when people do that for no reason,but if provoked,as long as they dont say something about,say Canada in a negitive way,I stay out.

yeah mksecrets, i know that too, but one can never really have an answer. maybe someone does it coz of a fetish or somethin. i hate flamin, and i hate it when ppl just start flammin u for something u didn't say. that pisses me off most about flammin. but yeah, i don't know what ppl who flame are trying to proove. i heard of a skull count or somethin(only been here since 2 weeks u know). i don't know what that is about, but it's sounds good. they should put it back in, so(as far as i know) u can see who is flame starter
