World of Warcraft - Mist of Pandaria
I pre-ordered my game and already have my name set for my healing Monk for the Horde side, PingPung. I really think this one is going to be very interesting, despite SO many are complaining that it's nothing but Kung Fu Panda...
Weren't these Pandarians already in the game before Kung Fu Panda even existed? Yeah...
What are your opinions for this upcoming Warcraft expansion? You think it'll be better than Cataclysm? I really didn't like Cataclysm too much... Yeah.

My only WoW experience is when my I played in my friend's when it was still new and when he hyped the excrement out of it. But it was not "Wow!" experience personally. It wasn't bad but I didn't like the payment system.
WOW?
Pandaria was supposed to be a joke initially as far as I'm concerned and with this, people feel that Blizzard is just milking it to the end. I'm not personally thinking that way – c'mon: Noob also began as a joke – there is also much more than just the pandas in the expansion. It's just the theme.... Right? Do tell your thoughts on the game once it's released. A few days ago I was actually thinking that they rarely release these real "expansions" today. It's just map packs and other DLC for the most part.
Admittedly, moving from the Lich King and the Cataclysm creatures to this is a little anticlimatic. "Still, that alone doesn't make an excuse..." –Blizzard

I believe that its an insult to animal rights, panda numbers are dwindling and this is what is put out
a damn mockery and ignorance
this pushes it, i know its just a game but it means so much more
When pandas are extinct i bet they will still be taking it as a joke and having fat ass pandas lump around smack each other
Im a believer in animal rights and if you support or buy this crap then you cant say the same

As somebody who's played the beta since it came out, I'm actually pretty excited for the new expansion. It comes out a month after Guild Wars 2, but I will end up playing both alternatively.
The monk is a great class, lot's of fun. All the different fighting style moves the class has, and the resource system for the chi orbs, plus the different style of ales for buffs and such adds up to a really fun class. Plus the Pandaren have always been a cool race.
People saying it's a play on the popularity of Kung Fu Panda should realize two things: 1) Kung Fu Panda is awesome. So what's wrong with that? And 2) The Pandaren have been in WarCraft since WC3 back in 2001. I clearly remember seeing Kung Fu Panda and thinking "Wow, a Pandaren".

Take your issues in killing animals in video games to PETA...

I don't think they're milking it to the end, but that's just me. I'm still waiting for this Emerald Dream thing going on, despite that there's hints and bits of it throughout the game. Still, it's supposed to be something big, and for a while, I thought that it was going to be this expansion. But, when BlizzCon came and this was revealed, I said, "Screw Emerald Dream for right now, this seems pretty nifty."
I like what they're doing with the new character and how you can pick sides with them. My brother has the beta, so he's telling me bits and pieces of it, I mean I don't want everything revealed.
So far, the male Pandas has the LMFAO dance, and he didn't really tell me what the females have.
Pingpung I love that name.

I haven't played WoW for over a year now and I am not going to start playing it again. But let's play pretend that I would...
I don't care about the Pandarians at all. They do not fit into the world and to me it is an overall joke race. The whole Chinese Panda concept is just so incredibly stereotypical that it makes me feel sick to my stomach. And all this extra crap they put into the game, like Pokemon pet battles, it is just too freaking ridiculous!
The only cool thing there is in this expansion is the Monk class. A Blood Elf Monk would be my new character, should I start playing WoW again. It is a class many have wanted for years, if not Monk then Runemaster which is already a class that is canon lore-wise and acts alot like a Monk.
No, the next expansion should be an updated version of Outlands, a revamp of the world with whole new quests that would fit the current timeline of the game, to match that of Azeroth.
Alas, I have given up on WoW and will move on to better, more interesting MMO's. I though TERA was such, but it failed me, so now I am waiting for Guild Wars 2 in hopes of it being the next big MMO.

Thank you, thank you!
That basically sums up the whole argument about the Kung Fu Panda issue. These Pandarians have been around before Pixar even came up with the story.
Since you've played beta, and granted I could have asked my brother this, but in order from weakest to powerful, where does the monk healers stand? I really want to have a healing class with these guys because I know I'm not a tank, never will be because I just don't want to be that character. Haha.

I can't tell if you're serious or not? Exactly how is this game "A damn mockery and ignorance"?
Hell, if anything this game is raising Panda awareness.

Females have Caramelldansen. I'm also waiting for an Emerald Dream expansion, but I think based on what I've seen in the beta, we might get another cosmic expansion. Also, monk healers seem pretty good. Can't really tell where they stack right now. My monk's a Wind Walker so he's all DPS.

Actually, I'm looking forward to it. Its a nice change from 'OMG the World IS GONNA END!' expansions. A chance to breath some before all hell breaks lose (again) either at the end of the expansion or the start of the next one.
As for the Pandas....well I could do with or without, but I'm not upset about the addition. After all, Warcraft fans have been asking for them since Vanilla WoW.
Plus I'm happy the Draenei are not being left out in the cold in regards to the new class. Yes, I'm still mad about us spacegoats getting the shaft in Cata.

I'm bumping this only becuase it's getting close to release, and all these new features are coming out, I was wondering what your thoughts are.
I'm a bit psyched for this Tillers thing to go on, build your own farm. Cool, eh?
What about you guys? Still thinking about getting it? Got a name for your Pandarian?

Pandarians predate Kung Fu Panda etc. by a lot.
Also, pandas. So what? What about the other few hundred species that get yearly eradicated off the face of the Earth annually? Insects, fish, non-mammalian species.
Complaining about Pandas being exploited for laughs is bullshit. Do something about the monochrome bears instead of complaining against WoW, which in turn might be the biggest chance that can gather enough awareness towards the problem.

jackblack xD xD xDDD
srsly tho, probably won't be creating a Pandaren character beyond checking out the starting area. Blizzard has been hit or miss with me as far as expansion races go. Draenei and Goblins are awesome, Blood Elves, Worgen and Pandaren, not so much. Dwarf Brewmaster for me.

The Tillers was a nice faction to level in the beta. Especially if you want to level cooking. Personally I think the Pandaren are one of the best races to come to the game. They have a great vibe and a great aesthetic that goes along with them.
So this new talent system ting is kind of weird. Come back after being absent from the game for a while, see that I'm again down a few powers.
Looked at the talent page... Wow, nice choice of options.
Saw a preview of the next tier class, man, can't they ever get a good designer for priests?

Well if you aren't happy with the tier set you can transmog it with other items and make it look how you want.

I know, my priest already has that on.
