Black Manta- character or stage transition?

Time to do what the internet does best, speculate for hours over a half second of footage.

We didn't get any gameplay footage of Black Manta, all we got was the scene of him abusing Aquaman. So, the question is, is that Black Manta in the middle of his super move or is he simply a stage transition in Atlantis?

I honestly think he's part of a transition...I wish he was playable, but he looks too true to character and not "nerthrealmed" enough.

I does look like part of a Stage Transition, but it didn't occur to me that it could be Black Manta in the middle of his Super Move so that is a possibility!

You have to hand it to Netherrealm, I bet they knew this exact discussion would occur when they edited the Trailer together!

He will be a character. He's arguably more popular than Aquaman. Plus he a member of the New Suicide Squad.

I really hope he's playable - he's one of my favorite villains overall from DC. That could've been part of Manta's super move, a stage transition, maybe even a clip from story mode.

I'm not sure. I think he's a stage transition, but Ed Boon posted an Injustice 2 T-shirt that featured what appears to be Black Manta'a helmet.

Doomsday is a background cameo in Injustice despite being a playable character. He stays there even if you're playing as him.

There's a first time for everything. It's not like a stage transition character being playable is that different from a background one being so.
