If they did it right, I wouldn't be opposed. Nothing like that first rendition, though.

I wouldn't even call it "MK vs DCU 2." I'd call it "MK vs DCU: For Real This Time."

I`m getting older and wiser. Neither this or Shoryuken`s CVS3 gag got me for a second.

But yeah, no, to hell with any notion of an MKDC2. Ugh....

I didn't even realize this was a joke because I never read it.

I just thought it was an article about Injustice.

Yes, in case you didn't figure it out or are just in denial about the fact that this will never happen, Mick did say it was his April Fool's Joke for the site.

Kinda pissed me off, but hey, the Internet's useless April 1st.

Why couldn't this ending have happened?

It was far from a mistake. It sold so well that we got MK9 because of it. The only real mistake was officially making it MK8 instead of a potential stand alone series like Marvel vs Capcom.

That's what a lot of people don't seem to realize, it was MK vs DC that cultivated the relationship with warner brothers. If not for that, who knows what state mortal kombat or its developer would be in. I absolutely believe wb is the best place the franchise could've ended up.

For that reason alone, I'm grateful the game was made. That being said...I never want to see an MK vs DC 2. They are best left as their own franchises.

As long as they don't too badly neuter either franchise I'd love to see another MKvsDCU. If it was about as violent as Injustice the MK characters would fit right in minus some dangling eyeballs.

That's the thing though...the moment you draw the line and say "no, we can't have that", the MK side of the equation is instantly neutered. It's been said a hundred times by the developers, when you throw out the name "Mortal Kombat" there are certain expectations.

Haha, the expectation is violence. Violence that DC will not allow nrs to go overboard with. MK has (finally) evolved past the point of ultra-violence defining the series, sure, but it's still(and always will be) a big piece of the pie.

I mean it's super noticeable with some of the battle damage lol. That's actually the only way they're getting away with it.

Really I think they could meet in the middle somewhere. Black Adam ripped someones arms off once and DC clearly loves letting Joker shoot people in the face. I think if MK would get rid of some of the excess violence and kept the good brutal stuff then it could work.

Although those are the parts of MK that I like best anyway. Quick and brutal.

I agree. However I do remember the same thing was said about the first one. If it were announced, I'd be cautiously optimistic.
