In an interview with Hector Sanchez at Evo, he briefly mentions a "gimmick" button. For example, the Flash's gimmick is to slow down time for the opponent, while the Flash stays at his regular speed. This hasn't been discussed elsewhere, to my knowledge. Anyone have any thoughts, or ideas on what other "gimmicks" the characters may have?

This was originally brought up at E3, I believe.

Wonder Woman's changes her stance. (Sword and shield vs. without)
Nightwing's changes his stance. (Staff vs. Kali sticks)
Superman's powers him up (I believe.)
Batman's causes him to release some mechanical bats around him (which can be used as a shield, or projectiles to chain into combos.)
Grundy's is used for (chain) throws.
Flash's slows down his enemies.
Cyborg's, I am not sure of, nor am I sure about Harley's. (Maybe her hammer?)

Ah. Thank you. smile

Are you sure nightwing's "gimmick button" will make him switch stances.I know he does that, but i'm unsure about if his "gimmick button" would do that,or make his sticks electric.Anyone have any for sure clarification?

Yeah it is definitely his Gimmick button that changes his stance; same with Wonder Woman; it's somewhat noted on the movelist screens I believe.

Ya know for some wild gimmicks I could see these having some really unique ones:

Firestorm
Poison Ivy
Mirror Master
Zatanna

I'm certain it is. I remember some website commenting on how you could switch his stance via the '4' button (Circle/B,) which is the gimmick button.
Edit: (Quoted from the article)
"Nightwing's staff can be split in two by pressing the special button — B on an Xbox 360 controller — increasing his speed and jump height, but decreasing his range. Nightwing's weapon stance change opens up a new set of attacks and special moves for the character "

Yeah.
But that's not the function of his gimmick button.
That's probably just a move exclusive to his Kali stick stance.

Cyborg's gimmick is self-healing, you can see it in the comicon reveal, but they don't draw attention to it.

Nightwing's is staff/stick change. This vid shows some more of his stuff;

They haven't actually shown the sparks properties, but based on his movelist and some of the vid stuff, I'm guessing you do the shock projectile and hold the button and it keeps the sticks charged, and you can just release it later similar to Juri's fireballs in SF4/xT.
