I think you're thinking in literal gadgetry. Mister Terrific could've been in this game but people would've reacted worse then they did with Batgirl. The only real problem that people have with Batgirl is that she's not their favorite...which is fair, actually.

As I've stated before, in any multi-franchise crossover game, the most popular franchise will have the majority of the characters.

Take a look at other multi-franchise crossovers:

Super Smash Bros. Brawl
6 Pokémon Characters

Marvel vs Capcom 3
7 X-Men Characters

Sega Superstars Tennis
5 Sonic Characters


This is how it will always be. It usually doesn't bother me, because the games usually have other characters that are on the same level of popularity (or higher), but for Injustice, the Batman characters are the most popular characters in the game.

I might add....I would rather have better Batman characters than the ones we got. You won't here me complaining about Batman, Nightwing, Catwoman, and Bane. Prime choices. Joker, Harley, and Solomon Grundy weren't characters I needed. Joker is a bit overdone, and I wanted something fresh. This is the story they chose.
I still ask for more Bat characters, but know that I did before this game came out. To me I would've preferred Killer Croc, Two Face, Red Hood, Azrael, or Poison Ivy over some of these other characters.
BTW, Nightwing is fuckin' awesome in this game!!

Solomon Grundy is (originally) a Green Lantern character, not Batman.
