Guns, guns, guns! Red Hood is coming to Injustice 2 in June! He's the first cab off the rank for Fighter Pack 1 and you can get a taste of things to come in the new spotlight trailer:

The Red Hood is Jason Todd: a character most famous for dying via fan-vote in a phone-in promotion to decide the ending of 1988's A Death In The Family.

Todd was first introduced to Batman comics in 1983, a replacement in waiting for aging Dick Grayson. The Boy Wonder was evolving into the maturing persona of Nightwing, seemingly necessitating the introduction of a new Robin. Over time, fans soured on the new sidekick, depicted as a brattier answer to his palatable predecessor. Given the chance, fans voted for his death by a few hundred calls, rendering him a victim of The Joker.

In 2003, writer Jeph Loeb and artist Jim Lee first teased Todd's return from the grave in the storyline Hush. The truth was ambiguous, until a few years later Judd Winick oversaw the characters' permanent return to the DC Universe, the result of Infinite Crisis and the reality altering tantrum of a character called Superboy-Prime. Todd assumed the retired identity once used by his killer, becoming a rogue element in the crime wars of Gotham City. A bat brat for a bratty new generation.

Red Hood employs the training he received from Batman, applying it to a deadlier trade. His bright red helmet and body armor protect him from harm, while an arsenal of guns, grenades and hi-tech weapons compliment his combat training. As the trailer shows, these skills are put to effective use in Injustice 2!
