We could let our voice be heard and let WB and Ed Boon know we want this content. I mean it never hurt people before to express there opinion. Hell sometimes things actually happen because a group of fans let the business know what they want. So instead of convitching on what could or could not happen lets make something happen. No power in the verse can stop us from that.

I don't disagree. I'm shocked that WB is against releasing this content. The work is mostly done, it would be free profit for them. Come on WB make it happen!!

I agree with the others: Lets focus on MK9 from now and on. MKDC is history.

Is there any reason to think that they are against it?

I think, particularly for us MK fans, it makes a lot of sense to focus on pushing forward to the next core instalment in the series, but is there any evidence that they're actually against MKvsDC downloads?

Well someone clearly is, if they are not releasing them. If they are "done" then where is the harm for the WB to release them? It's free money! Heck, if they really wanted to they could release them on the same day as Marvel vs. Capcom 2 for X-Box and PS3. That would be a nice little dig at the competition.

That's what I'm saying, though.
What makes everyone think they won't be released?

They haven't been released, but does that really rule out the prospect of releasing them, say, in the next few months?

Seems like jumping the gun a little, not that we should really be looking back when there's a new Mortal Kombat being dangled in our faces. Sure, in typical MK style it's giving us what we want at the expense of something that should've been provided, but... It's a new era!

Who knows what's around the corner?

No one is saying "Postpone MK9 to release DLC for MKvs.DCU!" The only thing I, and others are saying, is RELEASE THE ALREADY COMPLETED DLC! That's not asking for much, especially when they stand to make money on the release.

Also, Boon's twitter makes it very clear that the DLC is NOT going to be released. That's why we are asking for it.

i'll tell you straight up that boon is lying. the characters are not done, and they're not even near 100% finished to be uploaded to the network.

boon is just using the situation to his advantage by stating the midway bankruptcy and buyout with WB is preventing him from releasing the characters. it's a scapegoat. boon has been know for being unreliable as well as exaggerating things that he states will happen in his games... it's
such an arse move to even do this.

if quinn were really prepped and ready to go he would have posted a render of that as well already. why all this fucking waiting? no one said he can't post that up, correct? if he does happen to post up an image, it'll probably be an early edit they created at the beginning of the game.

also keep in mind that he posts that we'll never see the characters playable AFTER the buyout with WB. midway was not in limbo earlier this year correct? or am i wrong? midway is still working on games such as mk9 so it is NOT in limbo and is not in a situation where they cannot dish out material.

i worked in the video game industry as a contract artist and i met people like boon. they promise shit and then half way through the game, they can't do it because of time consumption or because the code doesn't work. and you know what? it's really hard on the artist when they worked hard on the concept and find out that it's not going to be used. :/

plain and simple; boon wants to focus on mk9 and nothing else. this is just a way to slip out of what he promised.

OR, it may be one of his irritating tricks to confuse his fans.

Midway now has the money and time to do both MK9 and DLC for MK vs DC. Any excuse to say otherwise is just dumb. I think it's a possible trick.

What's the point of releasing something we'll never see, right? If that was the case, he could've just left it for the Krypt in MK9.

But is says that games will be boycotted? I think we all know, even Ed Boon knows were are not serious if we do sign. While it does allow him to see people who are interested in the content. WB is the one who said things needed to get the axe and so Boon decided on the DLC.

The reason I am upset about the canceled MK VS DC DLC is if they do it for this game, whats going to stop them from canceling future DLC for MK games. I mean we need to put our foot down and say HEY Boon! You said there was going to be DLC and now your like "Oh well". It's kind of a middle finger to the fans. Sorry for the up roar. I know these mean work heard but you should still not say your going to do something and no come through with it. Thats what 3d Realms Does.

First off, Welcom to (or back to) MKO.

Second, what you said is where I stand in whatever business I take part in.

When it comes to being in the market business, you should always give the people what they want, because they determine wether or not you will have success. I never make definite promises, and I always do my best to deliver. I think this way of handling is something Ed Boon has never heard of. It seems he has failed time and time again to give the fans what they want. He's always thinking about what HE thinks would be good.

imo, The only time I think Boon truly delivered, 100%, was in MKD with Jade and Sindel. Other than that, he didn't do as great, or anything at all. I sometimes wonder how I remained loyal to Noob Saibot's franchise for so many years.

I wish Boon never released anything; You give the fans a little, and they whine and moan like little babies for more. Get over it, there won't be any downloadable content. Crying like a 5 year old on a message board won't change that.

As you were typing this, did you stop and think how ironic it is that you are crying on a message board about people "crying on a message board"?

If the DLC is complete or "almost" complete then it would be really cool if they could release it. That's all I'm, and several others, are saying.

The fans are also consumers and have no reason to be any less critical of the product just because they caught a glimpse of something they didn't get. A little perspective both ways wouldn't hurt.

Yeah! That'll show the competition - releasing two new characters for a horribly broken game! Woo!

Please, let's all just move on. Besides, I'd MUCH rather have stories and proper endings for the cast of MKA than some DLC for MK vs DCU.

Most of us fans are not whining about the loss of content. We are merely stating our interest in the material and seeing if there is any it can be released if we show our interest. I would love to see MK 9 but I also put inconsideration that if Boon says "no" here what will make him not say "no" again with DLC. That is were my concern begins.

Bungie was never going to release Hang'em High and the other map original for Halo 2 but fan outcry show the developers the interest in that content. No one has to provide DLC but when it is we greatly appreciate it. So understand I am just a fan hoping to see if a chance can exist.

First off, Welcome to (or back to) MKO.

Second, the fans have every right to whine like little bitches, especially those who have been loyal to the franchise for 10+ years. Think of it as tenure.

Anyhoo, it is the fans who allow the frnachise to continue (or discontinue), so they should be able to get what they ask for.

it didn't take him 8 months

-It's LOST kontent, the word lost implies it was made long ago but misplaced
-do you think all they have been working on was DLC, no, it has been said that the MK team has been working on the next game in the future discussion
-do YOU know how to make an MK character for next-gen systems, because if you can't(and it is pretty obvious you can't) you have no room to talk.
-why blame boon, did you forget that this is a collaboration? DC can be as much to blame as Midway
