Forgive this for being another long post but it's kind of neccessary

Anyway, I'm adding archetypes, move lists, supers, traits, etc.

Also, I'm swapping out the guest character for Blade because the more I thought about the backlash against Scorpion the more I realized that a crossover isn't necessary and should be saved for a whole new title.

Here's ideas for the first 12

Heroes

Iron Man

Default Skins
Telepresence Armor
War Machine (Has unique quotes)

DLC and Unlockable Skins
Modular Armor
Stealth Armor MkIV
Extremis Armor
Thorbuster
Space Armor MKIII
Ultimate U Iron Tech Armor

I said I'd return to this. Anyway, picking up where I left off. I'll probably be ignoring costumes this time.

13. Thing

Archetype: Grappler. Thing even more than Luke Cage is a pure grappler who has a slow walk speed and a dash that doesn't cover much ground. He needs to turtle and wait for people to come to him and has a gigantic hit box that makes it difficult for him to evade. This is compensated for by raw power, armor on his dash and high priority command grabs. You do NOT want Thing in close or he'll absolutely destroy you. Particularly since he can grab high, low or anti-air with command grabs or hit mid with his default.

Trait: Rock Armor. Thing gains three hits of armor on his jumps, a second frame of armor on his dash and all of his non-throw attacks gain a single hit of armor. It evens out his weaknesses and makes it easier for him to close distance. This ensures that zoners won't be able to defeat him with chip damage alone.

14. Deadpool

Archetype: Balanced. Deadpool has two projectiles (rocket launcher and dual pistols), an anti-air (uppercut), advancing attack, low slide and a teleport (bodyslide) Deadpool does everything well but doesn't excel at any one role, he's mostly a shoto with a teleport. Also, his teleport doesn't do any damage, nor can it be comboed into, his pistols have a slight startup, his rocket launcher can be jumped and it's easy to jump his slide when he tries to close distance. However, Deadpool wins in terms of versatility and has one of the best anti-airs in the game.

Trait: Regeneration. Deadpool's healing factor doesn't work like Wolverine's. Instead, he regains health after cracking his next all the way backwards, then forwards. It's risky but the payoff is worth it. It's best to use after a hard knockdown or a turtling enemy.

15. Invisible Woman

Archetype: Zoner. Sue is defined by her zoning ability and her ability to play keep away. While most of her normals are slow and unsafe, she's a beast once she gains some distance. She's able to hit with projectiles that push backwards, one that's an anti-air with massive range, one that hits low and needs to be jumped and then another that freezes enemies in place. Sue is incredibly dangerous at a distance and has some great ways to extend combos when she expends meter which adds a pop-up to all of her special attacks.

16. Gambit

Archetype: Zoner. Gambit is different from most zoners in that he's reliant on his normals. His projectiles aren't as annoying as they can only hit high or anti-air but it's his staff attacks that cover a crazy distance which is even further than when Psylocke has her trait active. Gambit's long range sweep and overhead combined with his playing cards force players to get in close but Gambit has a handful of normals with pushback that get him back to where he's able to hit with staff mixups. This isn't even getting into his pole vault which causes a side change and is a crossup when EXed whcih makes him hard to back into a corner.

Trait: Kinetic Charge. Gambits staff and card attacks do explosive damage, his staff attacks now hit harder, his staff push causes more pushback, his staff slam hits low on whiff over a wide area in addition to the normal overhead properties and his staff sweep causes pop-up. Also, cards deal delayed damage which causes pop-up and changes Gambit from a slow power hitter to a combo machine once you learn to get the timing down.

17. Apocalypse

Archetype: Zoner/Grappler hybrid. Apocalypse has the biggest hitbox in the game and his attacks are extremely punishable. He also has a slow dash and a slow walkspeed and is almost completely reliant on his teleport to close distance. However, he has some VERY powerful grabs and his trait allows him to stretch his limbs to the point where he can hit midscreen with most attacks. Oh, and he can also glide during jumps and cancel his glide into a crossup. He's high-risk/high reward as once he gets a hit in he's beyond dangerous and one unsafe attack leaves you eating some incredibly heavy damage but he needs to work hard to get those hits in.

Trait: Full Molecular Control. Apocalypse can extend all of his attacks, including his mid and anti-air command grabs. This effectively turns Apocalypse into a zoner who's also dangerous up close. The downside is that his limbs when blocked can be attacked.

18. Mandarin

Archetype: Zoner. Mandarin's rings allow him to shoot fireballs (ice balls when EXed) , turn himself invisible, push opponents back (reverses controls when EXed), shoot electric anti-air blasts (concussive and cause additional air-time when EXed) and create clouds of poison gas as an unblockable low attack which lingers for half a second.

Trait: Dark Clouds. Mandarin uses one of his rings to create a cloud of pure darkness that makes the entire screen turn black. it ends with a flash of bright light that turns the entire screen white as the effect fades. it's as much a hindrance as a blessing since neither player can see anything.

19. Juggernaut

Archetype: Rushdown. Juggernaut is based around his momentum and ability to safely close distance. He has an anti-air grab with crazy range which compensates for his rather large hitbox and he's surprisingly fast for his size with plenty or armor on many of his attacks (even more when EXed). His jump arc doesn't close much distance so he's forced to fight on the ground but when you consider that you're practically playing with a wrecking ball, that's hardly a fair compromise. His combos are short so using his specials as finishers is a must. he also lacks any sort of projectile so he's forced to play aggressively, although I don't think that many people would choose to play as Juggernaut to sit back during the whole match, he's designed for players who want to relentlessly attack and allow armor to take the place of blocking. Even his dash covers the entire screen (although it's unsafe if not canceled with an attack) and has one hit of armor on startup.

Trait: Gem of Cytorak. Juggernaut's damage is ramped up. This makes his combos do some pretty crazy damage if you have the time to activate it.

20. Zemo

Archetype: Rushdown. Zemo has a handful of low damage zoning tools but his lasers are mostly meant to be used as traps to lure players in close where he can take advantage of his long range sword attacks and fast kicks. He has a safe low poke and at least one sword attack is great at anti-air. The catch is to close distance with his dash (which covers a lot of ground) and use lasers to allow yourself to put pressure on your enemies to cause them to make mistakes so you can dash in safely. Zemo is meant for players who want to win matches fast, have great priority and have enough range on their normals to pull off some truly crazy combos easily.

21. Venom

Archetype: Grappler. Much like Apocalypse, Venom is a grappler with a teleport. Unlike Apocalypse, his teleport is far safer and deals damage as well. Venom is built around trying to get in close, teleporting and then using his throw attacks. He has one projectile which is a web ball that freezes players in place, allowing Venom to close in and potentially land a combo or throw. He has better combos than most grapplers but only one command throw and less damage. His anti-air is also a parry which deflects high attacks and acts as a second command throw when EXed.

Trait:

22. Doctor Doom

Archetype: Zoner. Doctor Doom is able to perform cross-ups from a distance. That alone sets him apart from other fighters. In addition, he can fill the scree with three different types of projectiles at once as they're all slow enough that he can recover in time to turn the game from a fighter into a bullet hell title. Oh, and he can fly too which makes him hard to hit. The key to doom is to use the slow laser blasts, electric ground traps and drones that come in from behind to set players up for being damaged. While his specials aren't powerful, they're incredibly annoying. None hit overhead which is where Doom's flying comes in to land melee hits which are quite slow but incredibly powerful. He's going to be nearly impossible for casuals to learn but in the right hands, he's going to cause a LOT of ragequits.

Trait: Flight.

23. Madame Masque

Archetype: Zoner. Madame Masque revolves around her dual pistols which unlike Deadpool's can be held to delay the shot. She also has some good normals but she has problems closing distance, having only her dash to rely on. She's acrobatic enough to get out of bad situations and her projectiles are completely safe, being the fastest in the game. The downside is that she has no low or anti-air projectiles and has to rely on a melee anti-air and can only hit low or overhead up close.

Trait: Life Model Decoy. Madame Masque has a parry attack that causes her to take no damage and parrys all attacks. Ranged attacks just cause Madame Masque to teleport to the other side of the screen. Melee attacks get her enemy shot in the back, which leads to a crumple that can be followed up into a combo.

24. Sabretooth

Archetype: Rushdown/Grapler hybrid. Sabretooth is a lot like Luke Cage except with a better air game. He has mid-hitting command throw as well as an air to ground/air to air command throw. He's also much faster than most grapplers but he lacks range on his attacks and has no projectile. Sabretooth for the most part needs to be up close but his dash isn't' all that great, he lacks armor ad he spends a lot of time in the air. However, his normals, while lacking range, are incredibly fast, he has some great combos and his air game is downright scary to the point where you don't want Sabretooth jumping at you as much as you fear Sabretooth in the air. Also, he has a divekick and an arc kick.

Trait: Berserker Rage. Sabretooth's claws grow out of his fingers giving his attacks slightly more range in addition to a modest speed boost that boosts his priority and making more attacks safe.

25. Mysterio.

Archetype: Zoner. Mysterio is built around teleports, parries and projectiles to set up combos to the point where his weak anti-air game is compensated for by the sheer difficulty of hitting him. He even has a fake fireball to complement his aggravation factor. Also, he has the ability to turn himself invisible. He has everything he needs to suit an evasive player and look for openings to exploit.

Trait: Seeing Double. Mysterio splits himself into three images, only one of them is real.

26. Moonstone

Archetype: Balanced. Moonstone is like Captain Marvel with photon blasts, an anti-air that's a dragon punch, and an advancing attack. While this may be similar to Thor, Deadpool and Captain Marvel, she's has a few twists of her own, namely her trait.

Trait: Mind Control. Moonstone takes control of her enemy's mind to reverse controls but unlike Mandarin, doesn't need meter and instead has a cooldown.

27. Zeke Stane

Archetype: Rushdown. While Iron Man utilizes beam projectiles and flight to pin people down, Zeke Stane as his equal and opposite is based around speed and mobility. He closes distance fast and most of his specials are designed to assist with that as well as causing damage up close or creating pop-ups at mid-screen.

Trait: Overcharge. Zeke overloads his suits systems to increase damage by stacking each attack with a secondary electric burst that doubles the amount of hits in each combo. It's best activated after a pop-up as scaling still applies but the shock attacks don't.

28. Mercy

Archetype: Zoner. Mercy is built around teleporting and then firing off energy spears before teleporting again.

Trait: Telepathy. Mercy gains a hitbox display of her enemy along with showing which body part is attacking to gain a frame advantage. it's ripping assets out of training mode to resuse during a match, whcih is incredibly, beyond cheap but it compensates for her predictable play style.

29. Viper

Archetype: Rushdown. Viper's strength is in her whip attacks that are quick and have a good amount of range to them. She may have a projectile gun attack but most of her damage comes from being in close and then cracking her whip at people.

Trait: Toxin. Viper stabs with a syringe that causes damage over time that's unblockable and doesn't scale. The key is hitting with the syringe in the first place. There's only a cooldown if it hits or is blocked, whiffs don't count towards cooldown which adds to her pressure game and mixups.

30. Spider-Slayer

Archetype: Rushdown. Alistair Smythe's bodysuit may have beam projectiles but those hit high and are his only zoning tool. His real strength is with his claw attacks and triangle jump along with the knives that he packs in his armor. That and his shoulder blade attacks that he uses to close distance. Smythe is meant to have created his suit of armor to give him the perfect body that compensates for the loss of his legs. He overcompensated.

Trait: Robot Minions. Smythe uses his other spider slayer inventions to rise from the ground and hold his enemy in place before burrowing. It has a small cooldown and is an unblockable low attack but it's effective.

I'll get to the DLC characters soon.

Since Peter Parker returns as the Amazing Spider-Man again. Why not, for the Marvel version of Injustice to go like....

ex.
Amazing Spider-Man Peter vs Superior Spider-Man Peter

Because like how Superman's counterpart went. But in Peter's case, giving up the "with great power comes great responsibility". Went powerhungry, and killed Jameson after how much he lost the people he cared about: Aunt May, Mary Jane...?

We are talking about Marvel gaining a fighting game like Injustice. Not DC vs Marvel.

Anyway. I can see Spider-Man going through a Superior Spider-Man phase when he loses the ones he loves.

But who'll be the main antagonist? And perhaps Spider-Man returns to his Amazing Spider-Man phase as redemption.

Just because we're talking about a hypothetical Marvel version of Injustice, doesn't mean the plot should be a word for word ripoff of Injustice.

And fuck Superior Spider-Man, glad that shit's over with.

Why? I mean DC did well for Injustice, didn't it?

So why not do the same thing for Marvel when Spider-Man loses his Aunt May and future wife Mary Jane? He goes through the Superior Spider-Man phase and plans to rule the world. Even kill J. Jonah Jameson.

Captain America along with Iron Man will be Spider-Man's enemy.

Check this out:

Due to my case, it should be Spider-Man who'll be the main villain.

Superior Spider-Man is NOT Peter Parker. It's fucking fatass Doctor Octopus controlling Peter Parker's fucking body. It is the only Spider-Man storyline I despise as much as One More Day, and I'm glad that fucking storyline is finally over with. I never want to see that abomination in the videogames unless it's as a fucking costume skin.

True BUT.... Peter can through that phase now that Doc Ock is gone.

31. Daredevil

Archetype: Agile. Daredevil has a wall jump, double jump, fast walk speed and his back dash is invincible. He lacks a projectile but he has a number of mixups due to alternating between tonfas and billy clubs.

Trait: Change stance between tonfas and billy clubs

32. Doctor Strange

Archetype: Zoner. Doctor Strange is based nearly entirely around projectiles with only a teleport to help him escape pressure. His combos are mostly kick attacks which aren't very powerful but he's absolutely lethal at a distance.

Trait: Astral Form. Doctor Strange leaves his body behind for a short while to have his astral form do the fighting. His body is still vulnerable to attack but the astral projection has a unique fighting style that's based more around hand to hand combat.

33. Punisher

Archetype: Zoner. Punisher's greatest strength is being able to handle anyone at any range. He has grenades to act as an overhead projectile, his hand to hand abilities are decent and his guns fire projectiles that are every bit as fast as Madame Masque's, complete with a low gunshot.

Trait: AP Ammo. Punisher's guns do increased chip damage.

34. Wasp

Archetpye: Rushdown. Wasp has a dash that causes her to shrink and evade low attacks, a single projectile that causes knockdown and a fast enough speed to quickly close distance. Her attacks are fast and safe enough that nobody wants her in close due to her rather insane priority and her ability to shrink her hitbox while jumping and dashing while also possessing an air dash.

Trait: Growth. Much like Apocalypse, Wasp can stretch her limbs when her trait is active. She doesn't grow them to the same length that Apocalypse does but she now has a much easier time getting close enough to land a combo.

35. Blade

Archetype: Rushdown. Blade is all about swordplay, with some incredibly fast combos and a high degree of mobility. His mean weakness is getting pinned down from a distance but you do not want Blade getting in close sicne he hits hard and fast.

Trait: Bloodlust. Blade's trait is a command throw that can be comboed into where he feeds on his enemy. If he lands it three times in a match, he temporarily gains increased movement speed and decreased recovery frames.

36. Sinister

Archetype: Zoner. Sinister is based around a mind control attack like Quan Chi has, a force field that is both an anti-air and pushes anyone close to him away, and energy blasts that operate as projectiles. When some of his special attacks are EXed, he can even disable enemy special attacks or cause a stun that leaves him open to combo. He also has a teleport.

Trait: Complete Molecular Control. Sinister changes into whomever he's fighting for a short period of time before changing back.

37. Loki

Archetype: Zoner. Loki has two things going for him. 1. teleport spam. 2. freeze attacks with stun. Loki can form ice walls to block enemies from coming in close, shoot ice balls from a distance and he can also has an ice parry attack. His quick teleport combined with being able to instantly land a combo make Loki somebody whom you have to lock down since his main strength is changing the momentum of a fight.

Trait: Ice Parry. Loki's trait is a parry attack that freezes anyone attacking him during the duration of the move.

38. Ultron

Archetype: Turtle. Ultron doesn't fit into any category neatly aside from being defensive. His walk speed is slow and his attacks are slow but powerful but he also has an air dash. He has both projectiles and a command grab but he needs to absorb projectiles to be able to fire his own with Ultron gaining three projectiles for every projectile or EX attack absorbed. Playing Ultron effectively means beading your opponent correctly and capitalizing on mistakes.

Trait: Adamantium Nanoplating. Ultron hardens his carapace with a nanoweave that gives him one hit of armor on all attacks, giving Ultron the advantage on offense instead of having to play defensively.

39. Magneto

Archetype: Balanced. Magneto has a combination of projectiles, an advancing attack where he propels himself like a torpedo and an aiti-air that causes pop-up. He leans more towards zoning but is able to do nearly everything well.

Trait: Magnetic force. All of Magneto's attacks that cause knockback have the effect increased, allowing Magneto to easily back anyone he faces into a corner.

40. Annihilus

Archetype: Rushdown. Annihilus may use his cosmic control rod as a projectile but that doesn't change the fact that this guy is FAST. He has one of the fastest dashes in the game to the point where it's nearly a teleport, He has a force field as his anti-air which prevents cross-ups and he's able to air dash. He's designed to be as difficult to pin down in a corner as possible while also being able to close distance effectively.

Trait: Cosmic Energy Blast. Annihilus charges his cosmic control rod. At full charge, he's able to fire off a gigantic blast of energy that's nearly as powerful as his super. The attack is unblockable. This trait forces anyone fighting Annihilus to play just as aggressively since waiting for Annihilus to get close isn't a viable strategy.

Now that I've thought about it a lot more. I realize that I'd rather replace Madame Masque with Living Laser and then swap out Spider-Slayer for Scorpion.
