So you're thinking they are going to shrink Grodd from the massive size that he is in the Red Son trailer? I'm going with not playable.

See that's the thing. If you watch the Superman vs Sinestro Battle Arena video, when Sinestro wall bounces Supes onto Doomsday in the background, you can pause and compare the size, and he is f*cking huge in comparison to Superman. So they obviously downsized Doomsday from when he was in the background.

That's not to say I think Grodd's in, which I don't, but I don't think they will have a problem logically with shrinking him down to accommodate him for the playable roster

That's the part that has me wondering. If Doomsday is, in some way, an interactable background NPC, how will it work when someone is playing AS Doomsday? We know it's easy to switch characters depening on who's being played as (as shown in the Shao Kahn's Arena in MK), but if they're actually being used as part of a move... that's something else.

As for Ares, if he looks like he does in the Injustice comics... he's going to be awesome! glasses

Green Arrow got a villain?

He's probably referring to Deathstroke.

Who for the record, is not a Green Arrow rogue. He fights pretty much everyone in the DCU, most often the Teen Titans.

Green Arrow doesn't really have enough villains all his own to form a real rogues gallery. It's pretty much just Count Vertigo and Merlyn. Slade and most of the bad-guy-of-the-week characters you see on the Arrow TV show are borrowed from Batman or the Justice League. Well...I guess that China White chick is from his origin, in the comics she ran a drug cartel on the island.

He also has Brick, Onomatopoeia, Drakon and Shado

They did it for Doomsday smile but for the most part I'm joking because I've came to terms that Grodd is not playable and he's just a background character in the Iron Heights arena or he'll be a sub-boss for the game due to his giant size.

That's a good point. I wonder who they'll replace him with in the stage. Mongul or somebody.

Well it could be Mongul, Titano, Metallo or maybe Imperiex (which would be cool)

If Ares is in I could see him playing a pulling some strings behind the scenes.

Kind of like Dark Kahn in MKvsDC watching everyone fight and being like grin

I'm leaning towards Ares being a boss or sub-boss.

Brick wasn't around long and died, Drakon only appeared in one writer's run, Shado is almost never used either (though it does look like she might become a recurring character on the show), and Kevin Smith either owns or has some sort of exclusive "I'm the only guy who uses him" permission to write Onomatopoeia and only used him in GA once. He most recently used him in a pair of Batman stories.
