What are your thoughts and feelings about the story of the upcoming Injustice: Gods Among Us? Where would the story lead; what are your ideas on that? Shout out your "justified" theories on the plot of Injustice.

[This is also a precautionary initiative to avoid clusters of short topics.]

I have to say that the "Tower of Babel" storyline could easily be the base of the story yet, I'm sure NRS have their own tweeks/changes, here's mine:

Agamemno trades the Justice League's/Injustice League's minds with eachother; allowing Luthor (which originally trades with Superman) the access of the Fortress of Solitude, allows Penguin or a better replacement replacement storywise/gameplaywise Poison Ivy with her plants (access to the Lazarus Pits since she switched with Batman in this case she does; and she plans on her plants having everlasting power along with her using the Lazarus Pits), Aquaman/Black Manta switch places, Circe/Zatanna switch places, Flash/Captain Freeze switch places, Catwoman/Black Canary switch places, Harley Quinn/Power Girl switch places, Solomon Grundy/Swamp Thing switch places, ect. Meanwhile, Luthor accidently unleashes Doomsday, and in the end it takes the combined power of Darkseid/Luthor (which is really Superman but Darkseid don't know) to take him down; afterwards like in the original story, Green Lantern fixes everything with his rings.

Anyhow, it's something to work with.

Interesting theory. Yeah, you've got to make the heroes vicious one way or another most probably. At least the character select screen shows how the characters are separated as in MK/DC; suggesting that there could be just two sides again. The current select screen has Superman and Batman in different sides however.

Well, here's what we know so far...

There was some kind of major disaster that killed a whole bunch of people, and from it, a character in the game arose to start a new "regime" that is opposed by some of the superheroes, causing them to be branded criminals. (When you think about it, this sounds a hell of a lot like Marvel's Civil War...)

And the voice at the beginning of the latest trailer sounds like George Newbern as Superman, mad that Lois is dead and yelling at a former ally, probably Batman, for "betraying him" in some way.

I kinda hope it is a story of its own, not taken from the comics. I don't follow the DCU comics and storylines, so I would prefer if they made a whole new story so those like me who are ignorant of the comics won't feel like we've missed something, because there's parts of the story we won't see in the game. You know what I mean?

Of course each character will have their backgrounds from the comics, but the very story itself should be all new.
Well... sounds like the heroes have gone bad. I just really hope it's not a situation that could be easily avoidable if the characters weren't acting like idiots. ...they won't do that again right?

Greets. Let us fully return to the subject when NetherRealm Studios will release something worthwhile regarding the plot once again. Nev'less, I'll explore what you have written up there a bit for everyone's enjoyment:

What kind of a disaster would it be? It would not come off as a surprise if it was Superman speaking, in fact he's the most obvious option at this point, though we couldn't see his face for some reason. The Civil War of Marvel:
"The premise of Civil War involves the introduction of a Superhuman Registration Act in the United States. [...] The act requires any person in the United States with superhuman abilities to register with the federal government as a "human weapon of mass destruction," reveal their true identity to the authorities, and undergo proper training. Those who sign also have the option of working for S.H.I.E.L.D., earning a salary and benefits such as those earned by other American civil servants. Characters within the superhuman community in the Marvel Universe split into two groups: one advocating the registration as a responsible obligation, and the other opposing the law on the grounds that it violates civil liberties and the protection that secret identities provide. A number of villains have also chosen to take sides, some choosing to side with the registration, others against it."

I see where you're coming from. Small cameos or glimpses exclusive to the DCU followers is okay but nothing momentous developers, please.

Considering this can be a chance for John Vogel to redeem his spot as the story writer for NeRdS, they shouldn't go an easy way out this time. Idiocy could come off as an easy explanation for many things in a story.

When we'll get more info on the plot, bring it on and let us have a look at it.
P.S. Someone with 17 thumbs on YouTube wrote a bold statement that the GAU logo could be seen in the Fortress of Solitude. In case it proves correct (I have no idea) that would at least support my theory in that other topic what comes to the logo's connection to the (evil) Kryptonians.

i read the whole gameinformer e3 preview and ed boon interview and its going to be cool but just as he said this isnt mortal kombat so forget about fatalities but welcome stage trigers and brutal super moves in the place of exrays. now the fighting style will be similar and special moves will be in it. also a special button wich for ps3 will be circle. will have a differnt affect for each character like solmon grundy(i think thats his name) will use it as powerful grab moves and wonder woman will use it to pull out her sword and sheild much like taking out your weapons in mkD and mkA.

also environments will change if you get hit near the edge of the level like in the batcave you will enter another part of it thus opening a differnt triger object. and i believe it said that each character reacts differently to the trigger object like in the bat cave bat man can activate the bat mobile and it will shoot missiles at the target so think how you can use the objects in a devastating combo.

The super moves are very similar to the X-ray moves and while Fatalities might not occur, Heroic Brutalities are technically an option. I like the interactivity in the environments big time: it should've been possible in Mortal Kombat 9 as well. That's not precisely story talk but it's fine, J_A_T.
Blur Studios also revealed what could be of the plot of GAU. It was first reported in Test Your Might and the discussion sprung dozens of posts where people came into a conclusion that the story of GAU resembles the story of DC's Kingdom Come instead of Marvel's Civil War the most. I agree, though GAU should ultimately have a story of its own. Wikipedia:

This makes sense the more you read about Kingdom Come. Do discuss.

From what i've seen of the plot so far the similarities between the game and the Kingdom Come storyline are pretty striking. in Kingdom it boils down to the metahuman heroes versus the non-metahuman heroes ( power and gadget anyone?)
