We got a fresh preview by X360A with a handful of new tidbits. Whereas nothing huge is revealed – don't freak out!! – it's certainly worth visiting.
[Is it a bird, is it a game?]

For the starters, NetherRealm told that they want this game to be very action-packed, fast and cinematic like a summer blockbuster. It remains to be seen how much different that will be from MK9, but as of now it appears so far so good. There's a chance that the emphasis on cinematics and extra speed will result in less gameplay techniques for the hardcore players, but no less it will invite more fighting game virgins to it from the dark side of DC. The developers go as far as to say that the game will be “like a Blu-ray in terms of accessibility” suggesting that game mode swapping will be swift. This arouses a question: What game modes will it have? Tag team would be a safe bet.

Injustice will essentially be a game of NetherRealm but the support from DC Comics is strong. “One thing you’ll notice is the amount of detail we have gotten into these characters,” X360A is told. “These are all NetherRealm interpretations of the classic DC characters. We’ve been working closely with them (DC) but they’ve also been very supportive and let our artists do what they want, which is great.” NeRdS also claim that “...There are multiple levels of destruction so that the environment when the fight ends is nothing like when it begins.” The arenas do resemble the ones of Mortal Kombat vs. DC Universe in which you could run throughout buildings in the spirt of Test Your Might, jump off the cliffs and play these Klose Kombat mini-games – that on their behalf remind me of this new Clash Mode, which was also brought up in the article, where each player gambles a set amount of super energy to perform a stunning attack. I commemorate that the Clash Mode was told to be ditched at one time but now it seems the developers have concluded to salvage it after all.

[Where do I put THIS tombstone, boss?]
This'll be nice: unlike in Mortal Kombat, retreating to a corner may just become your advantage with certain characters like Nightwing. It remains to be seen how this will affect in zoning. “Big combos are available for skilled players to string together,” X360A promises “and super moves require a sense of timing rather than just being screen covering insta-win manoeuvres.” What have previously been known as "Gadget" and "Power" character types are now referred to as "Tech" and "Strength" categories in the article. Hopefully the vast, diverse roster will be balanced as NetherRealm Studios states it will be. Let's keep our fingers crossed.

The original article was written by Lee Abrahams, Xbox 360 Achievements. I pretend no one here, I merely do this for fun, practice and to inform you too. ANYWAY: Discuss!

Do want! Glad they changed the character categories. Would have pigeonholed a few characters.

Tech and Strength aren't much better though right? Like Flash doesn't use any technology. They shouldn't have named it at all and just said that different character interact with the environment in different ways.

Could the mention of “a summer blockbuster” refer to a summer release?

I imagined "tech" would be short for "technique" in this. As likely as it seems I'd still like to see another writer or one of the NeRdS use the words "strength" and "tech" before confirming the name change. I agree that it's questionable to divide the characters with these words though as there might be a couple of those borderline strength–tech characters.

Ah technique, that had not even occurred to me.
