Yeah, I just saw this as well on Eventhubs' facebook page. This clearly confirms that the bald character we saw in Luthor's trailer is, in fact, Black Adam (just look at the boots).

So, what's up with this Black Adam guy? Is he a villain from the world of Shazam or what? Anybody care to give us, DC n00bs, some brief info about the character?

Yeah, he's a Shazam(Captain Marvel) villain. He was the first to gain the powers of the wizard known as Shazam. Except, he used the powers for evil. This should help you learn a bit more:

He was the original champion chosen by the wizard, but who soon became corrupt, so the Wizard chose someone Captain Marvel as his new champion.
He is Egyptian/Middle Eastern, and in recent Pre-52 continuity was some what of an anti-hero, that would do pretty much anything to defend his people of Kahndaq. He met a woman named Adrianna and fell in love, giving her, along with her crippled brother a portion of his power, turning then into Isis and Osiris. They were soon taken from him by the four horseman of the apocalypse. Enraged, he initiated World War III after he eviscerated a good chunk of the Bialyn populace. He even killed the four horsemen, Death included, in his blind rage.

He is known to be extremely aggressive and merciless when angered, and is a much more brutal adversary in comparison to Captain Marvel. He is not adverse to Totalitarinism ideals, and would seem to fit in well with the regime if they go with his personality from Pre-52 continuity.
