AAAAAHHHHH!! Such a tough one!!!

It used to be Mileena hands-down because she's evil, vicious and easier to control in MKII but over time i'm going to have to say Kitana really grew more prominent... aah, fuck it, Mileena!!! She's just so damn awesome.

Kitana. She has been my favorite female (maybe even of all) kharacter since MKII. I like Mileena, but to me Kitana will always be better. Go Kitana!

Mileena, of course! However, the entire trio of lady ninjas are awesome. But Mileena wins for me.

As a kid, Mileena was the first time I'd really encountered a story where a fictional character was killed and came back right away like happens all the time these days in comics and later MK games, and I knew even then that it was a cheap thing to do. So for most of my life, I kinda hated her just for being in MK3 and 4.

I got over it as I grew older and appreciate the Mileena concept more now, the nuances to her character and such. I still think it's stupid to have a character die and come right back...but now I realize that it's weird how that bothered me but I've never had a problem with Scorpion's backstory and learned to articulate why that is: I do like that the afterlife realms and resurrection are a recurring part of the MK universe...I just think when you come back, you should come back CHANGED like Scorpion and Noob Saibot did. The experience should have a permanent effect on the character's life and personality. If MK3 Mileena had been some kind of zombie or ghoul, I'd think her story was badass.

Of course, the reboot has her not die but also removed most of the interesting nuances from Mileena's character so I still like Kitana better. Plus sometimes I feel like I should support Kitana as much as possible just to spite NRS since they seem to be trying so hard to fuck her over in every game these days with her constantly either being kidnapped, mind controlled, killed, or all of the above at once.

In terms of overall favorites, Mileena.

She's just like, the shit, you know?


In terms of value and respect for a fictional character, Kitana.

I don't even think NRS knows just how powerful of a character Kitana really is.

Yeah, they have been shittin' on Kitana character-wise pretty bad for quite a while. From her boring and repetitive Charlie's Angels like endings, to her getting kidnapped, brainwashed, manipulated, killed etc.

Also, her costume design needs a serious change, they should go the MK Legacy Season 2 route. Give us a decent, serious looking Kitana finally. It's been a while.

Meh, why do I even bother... She'll probably look even sluttier in the next game and be even more incompetent... But it's okay, they pretty much killed my passion for the story anyway so as long as her gameplay is satisfying it's okay I guess.

Man, they treat Kitana bad and they won't even let me play as Fujin. I'm so sad now.




And Mileena. Well, it's kind of similar. They butchered her character in the latest game (imo) and turned her into the exact type of character I can't stand, childish psycho b*tch (like Tira in SC). At least she's fun to play as, although that doesn't seem to be the popular opinion considering she's one of the least used characters judging by the official stats.

To be honest,I never considered Mileena such a strong character until Deception came out,because I always though she is part of Kitana's backstory and always will be linked to "older" sister one way or the other... And even in Deception,when Mileena finally has her own ambitions and be the ruler and might finally "break away" from Kitana,she still inherits her twin's position,which still is weak in my eyes.

I liked her little storyline with Baraka going and I wish they took this farther,but then of course reboot happened,and even the smallest things that made Mileena interesting,like how she grew up to be an assassin with Kitana,and how Kahn always put Mileena below her sister,her bitter and vengeful behavior towards the blue assassin,all these were taken away for the "Harley Quinn" type of behavior,not to mention,she has no history or even emotional attachment to Kitana like she used to have. I know I might sound hypocriticcal in that I wanted her to move away from Kitana,but the backstory of Mileena should stay in tact IMHO.

Not like I am ecstatic on how NRS treats Kitana these days,with all this damsel in distress thing going for her (which I NEVER envisioned her to be,I kinda blame Tobias for that because he started it in MK4 when he was still around,and nowadays NRS always brings this shit back) and being killed and now being slave to Quan Chi,but I would still take Kitana over Mileena any day,because of her character ties to SO MANY characters.

Nowadays,I prefer Jade to both of them,I always did,even though she didn't have much backstory and personality until Deception,but after MK9 I want her to pursue her own goals to overshine both "blue" and "purple" warrior,because she has looks,she has attitude and she has badass pole for God's sake.

Kitana.

I just prefer her really. Plus i think there is a lot of "Why the hell haven't NRS done anything interesting with her yet." Or "Why havent they done the traditional nick something from the movie thing and put a hood on her outfit?"

But then again "LOOK WHAT HAPPENED TO RAIDEN.

Mileena was cool in Deception though.

This is one of the hardest things to decide! Kitana is my favorite when it comes to fighting with her, but character wise Mileena is outstanding! But they seem to balance each other out for sure!

I vote Skarlet.
