Scorpion is basically a really great character and would be a worthy winner but... Misfit MK fans too busy crying about popularity to vote him all the way. He kills Sub-Zero in trailers so Sub-Zero gets a pass but most top characters have been screwed at least once. Subconsciously, I've always considered Sub-Zero a more stoic character. Scorpion is cool and all, but his whole gimmick being already dead, killed by Sub-Zero, and his later game streak of dying all the time -- even if people don't consciously think about it, I'm sure that goes into people thinking Scorps can "take the loss."
