Welcome to the Boot and Immune game Registration thread.

The Boot and Immune is set to return soon and this thread is here to collect together the names of all those who wish to participate. Those who remember the Boot and Immune game will know it as the most successful forum game created, and also the one that had a serious cloning issue that threatened to destroy it. And it is that cloning issue that is the reason this thread is being made.

ALL users who wish to participate in the game must post at least once within this thread. If you do not, any votes made within the game threads WILL be ignored.

For those new to the game, the Boot and Immune works pretty simply. All MK characters from the main stream fighting games (MK1 –MKD) are in the game. You place a vote to Immune a character in order to save them and a vote to Boot another to get rid of them. So obviously you’d Immune a fave of yours and boot someone you hate.

An update showing who has what votes will be done every 15 or more votes. This could change depending on how many play the game. Any character who receives 7 immune votes becomes Immuned for the following round and cannot be voted for until the round after. They’re in effect, saved. Those who receive 7 Boot votes are out of the game.

We shall continue on to find a winner for a period of 16 games, with the winner of each removed from the voting list. The final game will be a championship tournament with the 16 winning characters and we will play until a Grand Champion is chosen. Our current Grand Champion is Sub-Zero (Younger).

The inner is entirely up to you. As long as you vote wisely!

Allow me to register. I was one of the vote talliers in the last game, both before the mass clones were busted and after.

For the newbs who wish to participate, know that "cloning" is frowned upon, and can and will result in you being disqualified from participating, possibly having your main account banned from MKO (your "clones" will be banned without question). And don't think you can get away with it that easily, as ~Crow~ is not only a God in rank, but he is now the Forum Director. Even though ~Crow~ is the Forum Director and a God in rank, a Portal Guard can also check IP addresses to verify whether or not someone is a cloner. ~Crow~, who was a Portal Guard at the time of the last Boot and Immune series, had monitored this game quite frequently after one or two cloning incidents. We thought that was the end of the clones. We were wrong, and he and tgrant paused the game to do thorough investigation on the incident. We found like, 12 or so clones being used from the start that went unnoticed until about Game 10 of the last series of games. After that, ~Crow~ took a more active role in this game, appointing himself, tgrant, and about seven or so other people to tally the votes (myself being one of them), with each of us getting a registration list, that way each of us could enforce the registration policy. I had a hand in enforcing the registration of the last Boot and Immune game once that rule became active, with some minor errors about mistaking a registered user for an unregistered user on my part.

The rest of the rules will be explained in the first post of each game in this Boot and Immune series. Have fun with the game, but abide by the rules and we can all have fun. That is all.
