That's really awesome, all the work you put into this. The concept of taking different routes through the story is also awesome, and I think it's a first for MK comics. And it has Hornbuckle! It's like those Goosebumps books I used to read as a kid. grin

Lovin' it.

I made Baraka (<3) go to betray Tsung, but the poor bastard couldn't overpower Hornbuckle, and he got turned into a zombie himself. Game over.

I'll be sure to try some other endings when I get more time.

i ended wiht baraka killing shang tsung when he tried to betray him. the sonya undressed part. 10/10

but in one part ofthe comic when Baraka is talking to cage liu and sonya his text bubble has a squiggly part where it drops and then the whit fades into it. is that on purpose? or am i being stupid. here is a pic.

Awesome. Shang Tsung's a Christian? So that's why he has a rainbow friendship, it all makes sense now.

Are you sure you're clicking in the right spot?
The very last panel on each page, the bottom right corner, the white text

Try again and let me know if there's any problems

The thing where the speaking balloon is all slimy-looking and dark is a common technique in comic books and strips. Read "Zits" in the newspaper and you'll probably see it quickly. Whenever you see the balloon all drippy and slimy-looking, it usually means the kharacter is saying something with a tone of voice full of resent or spite. With Baraka, he's grudgingly admitting to something he's not proud of (well . . . it's really for Shang Tsung). The technique is usually used when two characters despise each other.

Or rather, Give Yourself Goosebumps.

Yes, I read those too. That was a big influence in deciding to make a choose-your-own-adventure komic. Mainly it was that I wanted to improve on choose-your-own-adventures, be more diverse, have certain events happen no matter what. Like, in those books, if you pick the door on the left, this guy turns out to be an alien, but if you pick the door on the right, he doesn't. Agh.

And yeah, I liked finally giving Hornbuckle real, serious, no-bullshit attention. He had a cameo or two in Spirit Liu, but he's like the semi-star of MK:AD. I was surprised with the lack of attention in MK Deception and Shaolin Monks.

But in all honesty, the plot of MK:AD really was based around the ending in the Awkward Sorcerer. It hadn't been planned in advance.

P.S. I heard that those Give Yourself Goosebumps books were written by someone OTHER than R. L. Stine, and the covers were drawn by someone OTHER than Tim Jacobus.
