You can start by using a pose that doesn't look like a jumping ninny.
I burst out laughing when I saw that. He looks like he's been contorted by Ermac.

His arm reaching behind him to shoot that water, is way too akward. Nobody would do that, even as a surprise attack.
Why is he jumping?

I love the purple w pink border outfit. His hair makes him look loke DA Kung Lao, or a white version of Prince, I like his hair. There's too much light reflecting on the side of his face/neck.

For starters, as Tetra said, definitely get rid of that pose, it looks awful. As for the ice/water projectile it looks too static, as if it has no natural flow. Also Rain doesn't seem to be emitting it as it's literally behind his hand. What happened man?

Ok, from the vids I saw of MKA there was this propulsion move Rain had where he shoots jets of water out behind him and slams into his opponent. I was trying to recreate that. Its gotta be the most uncreative move in MK existence but nothing surprises me anymore. I still love Rain and will always stick up for his shittiness.

- Pose is shit. Shit pose for a shit move. Yes, I'm thinking of ditching it altogether and doing another move
- I have no idea what you mean by "static" and "natural flow". Yeah I noticed that was a problem too that there was water behind his hand (bad mistake that even the MK team have made in the past with Liu Kang's MKD dragonfire). I personally really dig the way the water turned out, but if I could remember how to recreate Ashrahs projectile from one of my fakes aaaaaaages ago I would probably use that instead cos its more original and looks funkier. Im too lazy to give the link now but it was my most successful fakes back in the day.

I think the most important thing to change is the position of the head...it makes it look like the neck is streched forward, and rthe hair mixes w the black pin in his costume... and makes it look like a mullet...

I actually like the sprite a lot, very clean...
I also like the effect... pretty smart... and i dont mind the overall body pose...

Oh, that retarded "Windy feet" move. Rain's in a sitting down position with his legs outstretched.
His outfit, and water teleport were cool, but his other moves, fighting style, and weapon sucked.

I'm fine. My fakes/sprites/comics have improved. That's the only MK related activity I do now.

You love taking jabs at me dont you? Anyways the terms "static" and "Natural flow" are opposites. What I was saying was the projectile doesnt give off a convincing sense of movement, especially if it was intended to be water.

Make the watery effect blend with the arm and the nose should not stick out. Make the mask less smooth.
