Not bashing you or anything, but it looks like a character we already have existing, Smoke. Except this drawing gives him different powers. Doesn't that kind of seem like what you've been basing Khrome on all along?

As many of us have already stated before, there is nothing that makes him really stand out. And the forehead emblem was already used on Sub-zero in Deception.

I don't think I'm alone when I say a gray, black, red, blue, green, and yellow are enough color variants for the ninja characters.

Imagine a game with a white, gray, and black ninja... that thought already lacks creativity as it is, let's not add gasoline to the fire hanky.

Silver is different to grey and chrome. I'll make Chrome's arms in chrome and get rid of Sub-Zero's helmet. Do u think the arm guard in 1, 2, 3 should also be in 4, in addition to the hand guard?

I need help with belt/shin pad designs.

I would say keep the V-neck from concept 4 (the one that looks like it's broken into sections), but get rid of the top knot and any loose strands of fabric. I would imagine Khrome as a very sleek character with nothing loose on his outfit. I would probably imagine him kind of slim too, not really beefed out like some of the other characters.

I like the weapon from 3 and 4 better than that mace thing from 1 and 2. I guess if his power is liquid metal he could form whatever he wants, but I think the blade adds more to that sleek factor.

For the armour I would stick more with number 4. The designs on 1-3, it seems like I've seen them from somewhere in MK before, or at least something similar to it. But maybe instead of a wrist guard he could just form some silver gauntlets around his hands or something like that. I'm down with the idea of trying something different with the mask, but I wouldn't go the Sub-Zero Deception outfit route. I would probably suggest a full-face mask, maybe something like the Masked Guard outfit, except one-toned and not the same shape. Basically imagine you start off with a hockey mask and see how you could turn it into something cool.

I wouldn't call this a final revision yet; it still looks like an early MK palette swap ninja. Most of the Ninjas who used to be palette swaps now look completely individualized and different from each other. I feel like this is still missing the big factor that really makes it seem different.

If I were making this, which I'm not because I lack the talent, time, and resources, I would definitely focus on making him sleek, shiny, and clean, which is something that has really been lacking in recent MK games. Also come up with a backstory; where was he from? How did he get his powers, was he born with them? What ties him to Mortal Kombat? Is he good or evil? Who does he serve? Thinking about that might help you come up with possible new design ideas.

What do u think of adding this decoration and what should be styled in that way, his white vest and mask ? or the black trousers and top? also would it be better if it was main part white+silver or main part white+black or main part black+silver or main part black+white

You say Khrome was neither confirmed nor denied, therefore he will be in the next game. Then that means Aqua (the ninja with a duck bill), Hydro (water ninja from the comics, also cyborg from MK: Legacy), Ruby (red female ninja with dark skin from cartoon) and Tremor also are going to appear, right? They are all ninjas and none were in the actual game.

Also I sent a message to NRS saying not to make Khrome into a character because of you. And I sent them links to where you show why you aren't a good person and that you say you don't even play MK. Why would they make a character for someone who isn't even their main customer?

Here's my honest opinion... Don't let him be a ninja.
You've shown earlier drafts of him with more details than this one, but now he looks like a plain palette swap again. What happened?

Here's some suggestions:

Go away from the ninja palette swap look. It's been overdone and no matter what else you do to him, he won't be unique or original as long he has that base. Start from the ground up and make him something no other MK character is and stray from how other characters look like. But if you are hellbent on him keeping the palette swap look, at least change some things up so he isn't a complete clone of the design. Ermac, Rain, Reiko and Reptile are all examples of characters who started out with being mere palette swaps, but have all evolved beyond that, yet keeping the base look of it. Even Frost, who was more or less just a female version of Sub-Zero, had her own take on the look.

Though you've mentioned before that you don't care about making up a background story and such, it would be a HUGE advantage if you did. Like, how did he get his powers? What exactly does the powers do? Do they turn his human body into metal, like Colossus from X-men? Or is he already a metal construct and can somehow shape the metal he is made of? Is he even human, or maybe a demon, an alien or an elemental being?

His powers, shaping metallic objects from his body, is alot like what Glacius from Killer Instinct can do with ice, however, it can be done differently. It is alright to take inspiration from other places, but not to copy the ideas directly from the source-material.

Besides Glacius, here are some other examples of characters who can shape their body and/or clothes into weapons:
- Morrigan from Darkstalkers (her wings)
- Millia Rage from Guilty Gear (her hair)
- Amane from Blazblue (his clothes)
- Rose from Street Fighter (her scarf)
- Alex Mercer/James Heller from Prototype/2 (their mutated bodies)

Examples of how he can use his powers:

- He can completely enwrap himself in metal, like Colossus from X-Men or Metal Mario from Super Mario 64. He would take less damage and maybe hit harder, but move slower and only jump half as high than normal.

- Forming his arms into several bladed weapons and maybe even grand fists or hammers, like Alex Mercer/James Heller from the Prototype series.

- An idea for a projectile could be that he forms a big spiked ball with a long chain, like Gogo's weapon from Kill Bill, but bigger. He could hurl it towards the opponent and then pull it back again, giving it a two-hit chance. Or maybe even swing it around, like Kratos does with his blades.

- Turning into a puddle of fluid metal as a kind of teleport, though Rain kinda already has that, and it may be copying Glacius from KI too much.

- If you are willing to expand on his powers, he could maybe even control metal around him, like Toph from Avatar can do, bending and shaping metal from construction beams, cars, blades and whatever metallic objects is found around him.

I hope you found this post constructive and that you will consider some of the things I've said.

U make sound points. However some is related to gameplay and what would go on his movelist. I think your suggestion making him like Prototype guys is good because Khrome and Prototype guy's are all shapeshifters.

I really like Alexs' blade from Prototype and u gave some weapon ideas which Khrome could form into but for this picture I'm looking for a blade because I've tried the mace and people didn't like it. The spiked ball could work, but if it's a spiked ball, then wouldn't it be better to use a Kusarigama (a sickle with a chain) because that's a ninja weapon. Would that be better than a blade for this picture, or any other picture I make later on?

Back to Alex Mercer's blade, which one would u say fits Khrome the best:

The kusarigama is also a favourite weapon of mine.

So I should use kusarigama instead of Alex Mercer's blade? How's it gonna work for Khrome, one of his arms turns from a chain into sickle (making his whole arm a kusarigama? Is this gonna work or should I do kusarigama for one of the variants?

That's up to you. But a kusarigama sure is more unique than just a blade, so it's a start.

Should both hands throw kusarigamas or just one?

I'd say just one hand hold the sickle, the other controls the chain/ball.
