Introduction

Shang Tsung and Goro had been defeated at the hands of Liu kang, The tournament was once again in the hands of the shaolin. Facing Execution at the hands of shao Kahn, for failure and for the apparent death of Goro, Shang tsung convinced Shao Kahn to give him a second chance. Shang Tsung's new plan is to lure his enemies where they will meet certain death at the hands of shao Kahn

Chapter 1

Story of Scorpion

Scorpion, the hell spawned Ninja spectre emerged from the pits of hell. Now having the knowledge that sub-zero; his sworn and mortal enemy has reappeared and has entered the new Mortal Kombat tournament in the dark realm: Outworld. This angered Scorpion, thinking that sub- zero had been killed in the first tournament by himself. Armed with his Throwing spear and his knowledge of Hapkido and Pi Gua, He sets off to compete in the tournament and hunt down Sub- zero through the dark realm fuelled by his overwhelming rage.

Chapter 2

The hunt for sub zero

The spectre has travelled long and far through the wasteland and mountains of Outworld for days on end, but there has been no sign of sub zero, but in the distance Scorpion sees a large mass of a forested land. ``Strange, I haven't seen any wildlife for days..'' He thought He fearlessly travelled into the strange forest and held out little hope that sub- zero might be lurking in there. It seemed to turn to night as soon as he set foot in there. The leaves on the trees were shaking but there was no wind. He then was shocked by something very unexpected.

Chapter 3

The living forest

``The Trees have faces?!?!'' Scorpion thought. He wondered if they could do anything else.

As scorpion traversed through the forest, he had an eerie feeling that he was not alone. Suddenly a bolt of green liquid cut through the darkness like tissue paper. Scorpion ducked and dived out of its path. It continued towards a tree and burned straight through it. ``Who dares intrude the living forest'' Yelled a voice from the shadows.

``Show yourself!'' Shouted scorpion

A man in a green ninja uniform, (similar to scorpions) emerged from the shadows

``I am reptile''

``You dare attack me!'' Yelled Scorpion'' Prepare to fight!''

Scorpion drew his spear but before he threw it , the ninja Reptile removed his mask and beneath his mask, his head was replaced with what looked like a head of a lizard. Scorpion hesitated.

``What are you?'' Scorpion boomed

``I am a half reptilian human; one of the last of my species, I cannot afford to lose. Explained Reptile.

Chapter 4

Fight with Reptile

Reptile stomach started rumbling, he opened his mouth a ball of slime shot out of his throat, Scorpion dodged out of the way and the slime burned yet another tree. Scorpion grabbed his spear and thrust it towards reptile. Reptile acrobatically back flipped away from it, as he was in mid- air, the spear punctured his right thy and he dropped to the floor letting out a monstrous scream. Thinking he had won, scorpion walked up to the injured reptile to finish him off. In a flash, Reptile jumped to his feet and a long, wormlike tongue shot out of his mouth like a bullet at scorpions head. He caught it using his lightning fast reactions with a strong grip and pulled reptile towards him and yelled'' Come here!''. Quickly he grabbed his spear from the holder on his back and stabbed it through this eye. Reptile dropped to the ground, with blood pouring out of his eye like a river. Scorpion left the forest and continued his journey.

Chapter 5

The arena

On the Seemingly never- ending desert of Outworld again. Scorpion began to realise he might not even get to challenge sub- zero. He suddenly heard chanting and screaming, scorpion then realized, he was there, he had reached his destination.

Shao Kahn's arena....

He charged towards it, knowing sub zero would be in there and he would defeat him.

There appeared a village over the hill which surrounded a massive coliseum, as he ran through the village, it seemed emptied for the tournament., Scorpion smiled, it would give him the surprise advantage. Scorpion charged into the arena and stopped as soon as he saw the inside. It was amazing, There was thousands of people on stone seats cheering and shouting surrounding the arena, in the centre there was a empty jewel encrusted chair with two people chained up next to it.

There was sub - zero, standing over a beaten soldier. The crowd were cheering and shouting'' finish him'' Sub-zero uttered the words'' Leave now'' and the soldier stood up and limped out of the arena. Scorpion realized sub-zero was not the same, this was not the same sub- zero that had killed him.

Chapter 6

The final battle

Drums started banging and trumpets were playing an imperial theme, that could only mean one thing, Shao Kahn!

He marched into the arena to meet sub- zero. A human skull cover shao Kahn's face and he wore a sort of roman outfit. Now standing opposite sub- zero, with a menacing stare, he calmly says

``You have defeated my best warriors and now you challenge me? ``You will lose!''

Standing at the edge of the arena, scorpion realises he could throw his spear and get his revenge and kill sub-zero or he could defeat Shao Kahn and become the champion of mortal Kombat and save Outworld.....

The crowd yells ``3.....2....1....Fight!!'' and Scorpion Thrusts his spear

Scorpion is now Champion of Mortal Kombat

Shao Kahn has been killed by Decapitation.

His Reign is over!!
