Cyber Sub-Zero vs Human Sektor

With the lack of real MK news, it seems not too many people stop by anymore and it's starting to get as dry as a bucket of sand. I don't blame them. I'm tired of wasting my mouse clicks too. So I decided to go ahead and make what some people around here call a "retirement fake."

saiZero convinced me to try again on my Cyber Sub-Zero sprite. Thank you for the motivation, chickadoo.



I am well aware of the life bar reading just plain Sub-Zero. This is because I personally hate the name "Cyber Sub-Zero." They didn't rename Sektor to Cyber Sektor or Smoke to Cyber Smoke. So why did they turd-up Sub-Zero's name?

I initially wanted to do an MK2011 version of the desert arena but I ran out of time. Instead I just did a quick Cyrax sprite edit (for those of you who even noticed).

It's probably noticeable that Sektor was the last sprite I did... sorry he looks rushed. It was actually a last minute decision to make him human rather than having the cyborg version. Excuses...

The Sub-Zero sprite definitely steals the show here, much better than the one in the other fake you linked. The Sektor sprite does look rushed in comparison, but it's still a solid looking sprite. The lack of facial hair makes it look a bit off though.

And yes, I did notice the edited Cyrax in the background. Great additional detail smile

Sektor's hair needs work, and his loincloth looks really stiff, considering he is jumping in air, but other than those I think you did a great job. Especially on Cy-Sub. ^^

And yes, the Cyrax in the background is a really neat easter egg.

This is just amazing BS. I am sorely impressed by cyber subby.

Sektor is great too. You have to look real close to see his flaws, but theyre so minor especially when u compare it to other human sektor sprites that have been made.

cyrax looks very cool.

this is some top notch art

You make your sprite editing look so easy, BS. But yeah, I don't blame you for wanting to make this your retirement fake. I could say the same about my last animation. I was thinking of making an animation tutorial, but nobody uses Adobe ImageReady any more lol wink
