Save as a GIF or PNG. JPEG fucks with the color and adds artifacts and stuff.

Please don't do GIF either.

Just use PNGs or lower the compression on your JPGs.

Yea it would be sharper in a png it looks like you got the shading down ok.How long did it take you?

I think it took me around an hour to make this. And since I didn't include this in the first post, I made this out of MK3 Ermac and MK3 Kung Lao. I'm always getting mixed up on if I should pick PNG or JPG to save it.

Hey not bad on the noob saibot.You should talk to maggo to see how to remove your backgounds sorta like arctic's or maggo's thread's it would make your thread look a little cleaner for people to look at.

That is killing your sprites dude. I have a feeling they'd look really kick ass if you used a different program to save your image files.

It's interesting to see how you "Sprite artists" can do so much with tiny characters as with Sega and their live action art they couldn't make the characters look like these sprites.

For once I am impressed with sprite art seeing how I never really enjoyed it too much. But for the fact that these are well created sprites and that these characters should have looked like this in the game makes me upset that Sega could have possibly have made their characters look like these.

But because 1990 computers were so old and useless, we're in a world where sprites will look like they're coming out from an HD thing or whatever... I'm just going on with random crap.

I will say that this is interesting work, and that you made these characters more appealing than they were back then.

That Ermac one is amazing i love it :D since hes my favoriite character you have to make a tutorial soon man they are good plus what program did you use?

The program I used is called, Photo Impression 6. Don't ask where I got it, because I think it either came with the computer, or someone else downloaded it.

I liked you first two sprites but the scorpion an lao dont look as good.They are still ok but not as good as your other 1z.

Yea, that's what I think too. I think the Kung Lao looks kinda fat, I put a little line to divide his body and his arm, but you can't really notice it.

I think I might try making Scorpions Knight costume.

It's very flat! The motley yellow lines don't help intergrate things like Kahn's belt terribly well, either. If anything it might even highlight it...

I'd probably make his pants less baggy, too.
I don't remember this outfit looking like he shit his pants. I think MKD characters in general were a lot more narrow and tapered.

And I forgot to include this in my last post. I kinda fucked up the colors by accidently saving as a JPEG. I'm gonna try to remember to always save as a png.

MK4 Reiko looks like a joke.

Everything else looks cool, just a little too single colored, or cartoony.

Try transparent backgrounds with the sprites... or crop alot of that white out... Still pretty cool.
