Well I think the idea to blur the background turned out terrible. Just darken it like the other MK games did and call it a day.

The blood editing is just as blury and looks bad. Actually everything looks pretty bad. It's just not that great. It's so bad I can't even tell you how to fix it, honestly. It's beyond me.

Quality is obviously an issue, but that's pretty well covered...

I wonder if it might not have been better to try to edit Baraka's hand.
When I think of a classic eye pluck, it usually ends with the eyeball clutched firmly between the fingertips, rather than jiggling around in the palm of one's hand.

Not a bad idea, but also not terribly visual.
It seems like the kind of thing that would probably benefit animation.

well it looks like the baraka sprite is kind of missed up because you can see purple around him and yeah make your own background and make it more detail because the screen does not need to be that dark
