dude the bg is beautiful but what have you done to that kano sprite is hideious its all pixelated and you can tell that you have used a brush to paint in the clothing.

I dont quite know whats gonig on to be honest with you whats the green thing on his face lol

I like the BG, it has some great lighting and depth. The Ermac sprite is allright, looks a little too cartoony and could use more work.

The background is simply gorgious. The sprites seem a little cartoonish, in my point of view, maybe not to the rest of you. Though with Sonya, darken her up a little to make it not so cartoony.

Other than that, you made a real cool pic. I love the blue colors in the background seeing that blue is my favorite color.

The background is great. The sprites look pretty cartoony though I like the Ermac sprite. Part of the water underneath the platform looks pixelated. I think the rectangular outline behind the timer should be removed. The color for Sonya's name on the lifebar doesn't blend well.

Version 2:

Replaced Ermac w/ a Vampire character.... called it Nitara out of laziness... but its not really supposed to be or look like her...
Improved the Sonya sprite and added some chunks and blood... tried to fix the pixelated sparkles in the water and replaced w waves...

i like it, i mean honestly i dont feel like people put enough time into the bgs, though the tallest tower on the castle is crooked or atleast it seems that way, that an forget about the waves in the water on the nitara pic, theres no point in having them since they arent essential and honestly they dont look right at all, just leave them out, it always important to just leave something out that isnt absolutely pertinent to the pic if you cant get it just right to fit

bg is great i love it and the nitara character is cool maybe you could do a version where she uses her wings to create the blasts and not her mouth

Great job on the background so far, love the ripples under the bridge. Nitara was definitely a better choice! Can't wait to see what more work you put into it.

-More gore effects on sonya... still havnt figured out a way to make her face look cool... might leave as a blur as FoDeah said, if it dont look right leave it out
-Speaking of that, I tried to get rid of the waves and it looked really awkward.. tried to fix them... if they still look bad lemme kno and i will remove them and replace them with some sparkling effect like the edges of the Dead pool or something like that
-Fixed the castle a bit as it looked crooked indeed... and actually edited it to look more castle and less Pagoda-like... this is supposed to be Edenia after all...

-BTW... hikari.. i did take notice on what u said on the text and timer, its just that i'll leave those till the end to fix! since what i have now are kind of place holders anyway

I definitely like the Nitara version better. Great job on the background man, I really love it. The water, especially, looks fan-fucking-tastic. I really like the transparency of Nitara's wings. The body pieces/parts flying off of Sonya are a great addition.

One thing I don't really like is that box around the timer. And of course, a little bit more editing on the Nitara sprite, but you didnt need me to tell you that.

I'll rate it when you have the final version.

Daymmn. I like the slickness. Why replace Ermac though? Need Nitara?

Besides, Nitara doesn't have any scream powers. And Ermac's abilities weren't red unless it's MK1.

well i replaced Ermac cause the sprite was too clearly Kano, and it didnt look great, and I gave Nitara sonic powers b/c she is 1/2 bat! and bats have super-sonic screech.
Also, Ermac's powers are green arrround his eyes, the red (Sonya) was judst sonya bein telekinetically torn appart
