Good idea but there's nothing remotely interesting or particularly well done in it.

Obviously the quality's a little lacking, and really there isn't a lot to it, but I'd give you Dragon Points just for being superstar enough to post your MKvsDC fanart in the fanart forum, instead of whoring in the MKvsDC board.

As a fake, I think it's plausible enough. I'd like to see some more design go into the concept, but I suppose that's not the point of a fake screen.

Again, props for using the appropriate forum.

The MK team is lazy. We won't even get FMV endings. Why would we get animated loading screens?

A loading screen takes less time than a movie sequence for an ending.
When I say animated, I mean in-game models. Not rendered CGI shit.
It does NOT require that much effort. Just have the motiona capture guy do a few movements and program it to the model's skeletal system. THERE YA HAVE IT. I could care less if they just give each other the finger or stick their tongues out to taunt. Something is better than nothing (not literally but try and see my point)

Soul Calibur II had no problem doing a little of it themselves with verbal taunts. At least I could do something half-way entertaining while I waited.

Pretty nice, the loading bar is just a little too plain.

I say this is a tweener. Despite some not impressing visual effects, it's at least somewhat decent to see and expect what the loading screen might look like in the game. If we had a Superman render with him in a fighting pose like we have Scorpion (with a pallite swap character here) it would have made a difference. But because he's just standing there in a heroic pose, it doesn't show tension build-up for the people.

And what I mean by that is usually, loading screens help build up hype, get you ready to fight against someone, but if you have a character just standing there not ready, it doesn't build up the hype and it just makes things less tense and that..

But, because it's something, and you did it on Word, (odd) I cannot say that it's stupid because it's not. It's a tweener because there are some things in the picture that are not really eye catchy, but yet again, it's what people have to work off with when using the renders we've gotten so far from the game.

It's a tweener, which is good and bad combined to get... goad.... wow

So I made it on word because I am still trying to figure out the more advanced programs, and I feel comfortable with word.

I tried my best with the resources I had, as you said. I had no other Superman pose (no matter how hard I searched) and that was the only thing that has been released - as you said.

I get what you mean about the whole "tension buildup" thing. I guess that goes with what I said in the last paragraph.

Haha. I know what you mean. My original plan was to get a pic of the Armageddon loading screen, crop the loading bar out, and paste it in there. but I couldn't find a pic of the loading screen with the loading bar. So that was the best I could do with my resources.
