Shang's hand looks like it's actually holding something, even though Kahn is decapitated, still looks like he's holding something, like his armour.
The lifebars are perfect.

haha, I like the Shang Tsung melting one the best. But the blood that was just slapped onto his torso without editing, looks bad.

Ok, the second fake is pretty cool too.
Lifebars are almost perfect, you just need to add the "WINS 00" or "01" text to the top of them, but I think someone already mentioned that.
Anyhow, the blood splats are, uh, different. The blood on the floor on the right is different to that on the left, and IMO it makes the pic look a little odd in that respect.
But everything else is good, the sprites, the effects.
Once again, nice job.

There's nothing "wrong" with the lifebars. Win counters are optional. The pics are excellent, very good use of sprites.

It's already obvious that it's a cut-and-paste job anyway, since that's the general definition of a "fake".
The word your looking for is "makes it look more realistic compared to a real screenshot".
