Basically, i love to explain my fakes, so this is why i didnt submit this one (that and the fact that the last 2 didnt go thru lol)


First and foremost, no timer, cause it looks kinda stupid and distracts from the action. Now, the fake shows a Zaterran Background before it was merged into outworld... from all the depictions of this realm in the games, i always saw it as a swampy, savage realm, so thats what i wanted to show. In the middle of the wetlands, there is a sacrificial altar, with fresh blood, in front of a cracked statue of their snake demongod.
The female character has kind of a crappy name, but I chose it from a Celtic Bog Goddess... I figured since Earthrealm had a god named after 1 culture's thunder god, different realms could represent different cultures, and since marshes and swamps where a pretty big part of Celtic culture, i decided to go w that. Basically, i imagined her as the protector goddess of Zaterra, analogue to Raiden, her element being water and plants, therefore the drippy effect. I wanted her to look wild and slightly savage, while keeping her delicate woman form, i didnt want her to be reptilian.
The pic. depicts shang tsung after the conquer of the realm, draining the goddess of life as she stands helpless since the tournament has been won.
Yes, i know shang tsung is clearly subzero, but there;s a reason i picked that, its cause its a really solid design that rarely gets any props! Everyone always uses the ninja, never the human, and I decided that i didnt want to change it too much since i like his look.
