Just the arena:

I tried using PSP's Geometric Effect "Perspective" to make the side walls appear as though they are angled but I just couldn't make it work as well. I saw that BS did that in his MK4 Tomb stage... hopefully he will include that in his tutorial *cough* HINT HINT *cough*
I'm not much for self-praise, but I have to admit this is my best sprite edit to date. I realize his face is really bad, but aside from that I'd love to hear some pointers and not just what's wrong with it but how I can fix it.

I won't give you pointers (that's your job!
) but praise.
Holy crap, you are awesome! The hologram effect is greatly executed and I LOVE your spritte edit!

Dagnabit, girl!! What the fuck happened to THIS FUJIN SPRITE?!!? I got all excited and shit thinking you finished it. *sigh* Oh well, I won't lie... this IS your best sprite edit. Considering you're not even a year into your faking (not talking about orgasms) career, I will judge you accordingly.
Fujin's hair actually looks very good; better than any hair I've had to draw. The only part that bugs the crap out of me is the hair near his forehead. Speaking of his forehead, he doesn't have one. Only a brow ridge. Also, his neck needs work. The skin of Sub-Zero's (I'm assuming) neck doesn't match Kung Lao's very well.
His chest straps, although well drawn, do not match the way his torso is twisting do perform the kick. His loin cloth (that black thing hugging his nuts, the giant diaper, whatever) should be kind of drawn like it was a whitey-tighty underwear, not just a rectangular black line. Just make it more like a trapezoidal shape, I guess is what I'm trying to say.
His pants look fine, but there are a few pixels that are bright and stand out that could have been blurred/smudged away. The shin guards are fucking beautiful except the one on his lower leg (it doesn't match the leg's angle quite so well).
EDIT: I hope this makes things a bit more apparent to you. Although after zooming in on his lower leg, the shin guard looks drawn correctly... but when zooming out to normal view, it doesn't. So you have to just edit it until it looks right.
Chow Mein....? HAHAHAHA! I love it the name even though I made a sarcastic remark about it in reference to your "gardener" name. This character is what, the Gardener before he was transformed by the Living Forest? For this guy I just see some swapping between MK2 Kung Lao and Raiden. I appreciate the little shin guards you added to the sprite and also that neat dragon logo (from MK1's flag?).
The gore is fine. Looks believably Mortal Kombat. I just don't like the angle in which the blood is spraying considering the powerful kick Fujin just delivered to our little Chinese takeout guy. That reminds me: Chow Mein's facial expression SUCKS.
The arena isn't your best... at all. it's actually quite a down-grade from your previous MK4 recreation. You did an okay job but I don't like how you mixed the style of MKM:SZ and MK4. What I am referring to is that you have a fan, but the floor is a platform rather than a big walking space.
I am happy with your achievement in sprite editing. I think you should start focusing on either sprites or a background. Not both at the same time. That way your sprite will be superior or the arena will be. Don't half-ass both just to produce a fake.
And yes... I already added this fake to the portal website.
Huh? Although you might feel as though her skills surpass yours, that is no reason for you not to point out things you can see that need work. She, nor the other artists, will not be offended.

Take your time... I wanna see a good one. If I like it, I promise, I will do a new fake too so you're not the only one making this forum an interesting place to be again. I can't promise it will be my best, though, because my hour glass is running out of sand.

Well I worked on this since Thursday. I didn't rush.

Hey sexy lady! (Psy)
Lol..
Amyways, I may not reply to every single thread you make, but don't think I haven't notice your stuff. Keep up the good work, you're practically an elite already. However, one thing I noticed, and perhaps this isn't your style, is you don't darken any of your BG's when there's a Fatality execution. It's a small detail, but it would make your sprite editing contrast a little more. This is just my opinion, of course

I didn't say you did rush... I'm just saying that you should pick one focus point. If not, then take a week to do it so you can excel at both.

One is in the works. I will have to post it by Feb 13, whether I finish it or not.

I suppose she grabbed that habbit from me. I don't think I have EVER darkened my BGs.

Well done! I like how you cobbled the Prison together to look like MK4, but kept Mythologies' Pit style walkway. You can tell the bg panels are cobbled together. I also like the dragon pants.
The hair on Chow Mein looks a little flat, and the spinal column should be curved toward his legs slightly, to look like it's being dragged/swinging with the motion. Fujin's belt could use some shading.

He doesn't have hair...
Are you talking about the shaded part on the back of his head (where the occipital bone would be)? Or are you confusing the chin strap for his straw hat with hair?

LOL
My bad, I see Raiden's hat now. I thought I saw shaggy/curly brown hair with a short ponytail. Something like Kung Lao's or Karen from SFA3.
Well, I am legally blind...
