I wanted to add sound effects and make it a video on YouTube but I couldn't find any freakin' MK3 sound boards except just name announcements. So it's a silent movie like in the 1930s.

It appears as though MKO wont let me animation fit due to the PATHETIC width limitation of this old-ass 800x600 resolution design. Get with the current times webmasters. geez.

Since it seems customary these days to share your BGs... I will do the same

and if anyone is interested, here is my original background I made years ago with a Shao Kahn animation:

That's impressive work, black. The lack of sounds is actually no issue; I'm accustomed to the 1930's. Good ole times. Slicing n' dicing a la Cyrax, huh? I think it's worth mentioning that Hydro gets split all the way in this animation even when the laser's lowest point is somewhere in the naval button. The hip breaks practically by itself. Were you aware of that?

[Smallville's similar red atmosphere in a big city in line with that.]

The atmosphere reminds me that of Smallville after the excrement hit the fan in the TV series. I like the special move you invented to perhaps my favorite cyborg out there. The timer stopped to a sex position it seems.

Yes I am aware of that... the extreme heat/energy from the laser and the weight of his upper body is fully capable of splitting the extra 5 inches of his pelvic region

HTML iframe was used for the youtube embedding.
And yes, I made the timer 69 because it's a great number.

Ugh... So you must have experimented that in real life then, right? There are no horizontal forces pulling the two parts away and the gravity alone could not break the pelvis (unless you're some 90-year-old). If it were for the heat, it would first and foremost split him horizontally apart from the sides that have no bone and are thinner than "five inches". But since we're talking about a fictive water character, let's pretend that Hydro is flimsier.
That's not a big deal. Have you tried to rip Shao Kahn's MK9 voices to create more coherent, modern and longer fake Shao Kahn MK3 clips?

Zmoke sure bitches a lot about detail when he draws like I did when I was 10 years old...

Considering this looks rushed, and no one else even finished their animation, I like it a lot. Ur fake stage kicks ass. I love ur fake BGs even from way back in the day. Ur one of the best fake BG makers.

I hope u redo this one but take ur time with it and make it what it should have been unless ur gonna let illusion do it.

Its a good animation. The background looks good, especially the glass. My favorite is the splotch of blood on the wall. Another thing I really like is the glow effect on cyrax's eyes. However, I have couple critiques about it: - Like they said, the extra part that gets cleanly chopped even though the laser doesnt touch it. Although your explanation makes sense (weight and heat finish the job) it still looks awkard. It wouldnt be difficult to edit Cyrax's arm so that it goes a little lower before doing the uppercut. - The background has a few things that look off. the broken column looks very 2 dimensional, and the angle looks a bit off, because of the marble border it wouldnt lay perfectly horizontal on the floor. That also gives you a chance to add shadow and improve depth, since where it is now the shadow would be behind the column and you cant see it. - This is more of a personal suggestion, but the uppercut would make a little more sense if Cyrax was closer to Hydro. Since he is so far, it doesnt really make much sense that he would make such a big arc movement, a swing of the arm and he would have done it. Finally, this is the biggest one for me: How the laser retracts back in to his arm. it literally looks like a big green glowstick going back into his arm. If he stops emitting the laser, it would look like it was moving away from his arm and off the screen. Like when u close a faucet, the water doesnt crawl back into it, it stops flowing out and keeps moving away. Also, the square tip on the laser beam looks terrible. I dont know why you modified Kano's beam to make it square, makes it look off. Plus the original sprite has the bright tip that makes it look good, so you are missing out on it.

I just want to take everything I happen to meet into consideration when I'm criticizing something. Oftentimes when I've seen a flaw – for instance an abnormal arm – I've rather decided to leave it there and continued drawing. Perhaps I will begin criticizing my own art, LOL. But I'll promise to draw something more accurate next. And I don't intend to be rude. It's easy for you to say however, when you don't submit anything (or haven't so far).

What.......are you talking about? confused

The only modification to his laser was the color and length. Not the tip............. if you look at my animation frame by frame in some kind of program, you'll see that all I did was copy and paste from the MK Warehouse with the exception of when Cyrax does his uppercut (which was just a rotation to certain degrees of the same exact sprites). So if the MK team forgot their bright tip in a few frames, I apologize on their behalf. grin

BUT THEN AGAIN you're looking at this GIF quality... and not PNG quality like I have on my computer.

The laser can't stay in the half-way anyhow, it logically moves only forward and it can't reverse it's course magically. Unless you're talking about a Jedi sword but that's technology out of this world. Look at the end of the GIF to notice that Cyrax is pulling the laser back while shutting it down.
